    Rebuild Update

Well boys she’s in the shop! Next time she comes out it will be me driving her home. To-do list is rebuilding the A/C, motor/tranny install, Fi-Tech install, 3.5 gears and Trac Loc, and factory front suspension replaced. That’s the extent of the major things. Few odds and ends left. Carpet while...

    Carpet recommendation

+1 for rock auto. This is the exact kit I ordered back in january. The 4 pieces for the fold down require cutting to fit but zero complaints. ACC 26464260

    Front Side Marker

I actually went digging in my parts yesterday to verify what I needed, and my extra bezel has both posts! So really all I need to find is one of those acorn cap nuts that threads onto the back. For some reason I thought I was missing a post on each one. But I very much appreciate it!

    Front Side Marker

Definitely will do! Very long time coming but worth the wait.

    Front Side Marker

2 weeks away from heading back in! Motor/tranny done, Fitech and fuel tank arrived. The shop has 2 roadrunners that have taken a little longer than expected so pushed back their timeline a little bit. After the install, just minor things to button up. AC/heater core, front suspension...

    Front Side Marker

I was thinking the same but figured I would ask. I have a "cap" looking thing on one of them that is out, but its also missing a stud. Thinking I might be able to engineer a fix but based on the scoop studs thought they might be something similar. I appreciate it!

    Front Side Marker

Trying to dig for some info but unable to find it. I have an original front side marker bezel, but it looks to be missing the 2 studs that thread into it, in order to attach the nut on the inside fender well. Does anyone know the size off the top of their head? It looks to be the same size as...

    Rebuild Update

The shop I am at took it to B&B Automotive Machine Co. in Mesa. They did an awesome job. Give them a shout if youre not in a hurry! My shop said they aren't sure if hes taking private work right now.

    Rebuild Update

Okay that would make a lot of since being the date code as I was told this was the original block, and according to the marti report it was built 1/16/73. Break in oil for sure, and a zinc additive as I was show yesterday. It is at Venom Classics in Mesa, AZ. Seeing the other vehicles they have...

    Rebuild Update

Super pumped! Should be all buttoned up and ready for instal in the next few weeks. Not sure on that bit. I know he’s going to manually check the oil pressure later today and send me a video. I was able to check the block and that part matches up, but what is the 3A3?

Hey Robert For the rear inside panels, are they the upper or lower ones? My lowers are fine but the sun has absolutely thrashed my upper ones. These are the ones I’m looking for.

Weather stripping and door panel questions

New carpet will be coming in this week. Part of me wants to wait until spring time in AZ so I can let the heat get the wrinkles out/apply the dynomat. On the flip side I’ll have my seats out to get reupholstered soon so might as well do it then. But for the life of me cannot figure out how to...

Weather stripping and door panel questions

Well Sheriff your genius knows no bounds. The steamer/weight technique worked even better than I expected. I am going over the bottom section after work tonight to get that a little straighter, but the big warped section up at the top looks back to normal. The replacement clips came in the mail...

Parts Wanted Fastback wrap around plastic drivers side

I apologize for how long this has taken! Work 2 jobs so fund the project, which also mean I run out of hours in the day. Here are my panels. Passenger side is decent, although brittle. Driver side might as well be mummy dust when you touch it.

Weather stripping and door panel questions

Yeah I knew it was in fairly rough shape, but at the time the priority was getting the passenger side window out of the door and functional. I’ll go the steam and weight route. Really nothing to lose minus time. If it doesn’t work at least I can bite the bullet on new panels knowing I tried...

Weather stripping and door panel questions

So it is actually just the passenger side. I haven’t touched the driver side door panel, all the clips are attached so I’m not going to mess with it. This is the passenger side. Definitely got wet and caused everything to swell. I have the fiberglass pads and resin all ready to go for the holes...

Weather stripping and door panel questions

I am thinking I will have to go the fiberglass mat/resin. If I remember correctly there were some openings that were missing the material more so than just ripped. As soon as I get a minute to pull those panels off I will throw a picture up here. But got the replacement clips/some weather...

Weather stripping and door panel questions

Thank you! I have seen some guys use fiberglass (never worked with it so could be a learning experience), wood glue, or superglue that reinforces it. Didn't imagine the super glue would soak into the board but I could be wrong. The passenger side is warped a fairly good amount so I will...
