The car was originally a sportsroof with 302 and a C4.  Somewhere along its journey it was dressed up as a Mach 1.  My brother purchased the car thinking it was a Mach 1 and had a 460 with a C6 dropped into it.  He intended to have the car restored but never got around to it.  It sat in his garage for 7 years.  In 2016 he was diagnosed with cancer.  Before his passing in early 2017 he gave me the car.  I have been restoring it over the past 3 years and am coming down the home stretch and will make it a Mach 1 clone in his memory.

is it recommended to remove the front bonnet extension prior to painting then assemble afterwards ?
