  1. Clearly you need to be the lab rat and test a set of those direct fit 71-73 Bilstein shocks that Opentracker Racing sells. Those do look like lowering or cut springs. Good chance the spring rate is higher than stock, and any shock that is close to stock will under dampen.. Have you had a good look under the car to see how all the bushings look? How about the condition of all the ball joints etc? What are your alignment numbers?

  3. I went with the 73 stripes because I have the exterior side molding. I think it came out well. I now have to put the mustang badges back on. John J

  4. Growing up in the '70 & '80s, black rims just seem to me that the owner lost a hubcap or two and either didn't care, or was too cheap or lazy to replace the hubcaps. Again - that is just my opinion on black wheels. Now, having said that, there are some really nice black wheels out there, and some actually do appeal to me... depending on what they're on. As far as those Magnums go, I'm with the others - I think black chrome would look better than that finish shown in the pic you provided. Honestly though, black chrome can also look a lot like excessive brake dust and the owner is too lazy to clean the wheels. ;) Interestingly enough - I like that look on your car. Those Grand Marquis rims actually look really good blacked out, and right at home on your car. I wouldn't change a thing. ::thumb::

  5. That's the heater hose return tube. To remove the remains, you can just use a hacksaw blade on the inside to cut through it and then just fold it in upon itself. You have a couple options for replacement - standard press in tube, or thread the block and use a screw in tube. 7. I think those would look really good if they were black chrome. The flat finish doesn't do it for me.

  9. I bought them direct from United Pacific. Tried the "jeep style" LEDs, looked cool but weren't great for me. Make sure you get some in line resistors if you are adding other led/plasma bulbs elsewhere. Spliced into my keyed powers so the run when the car is "on". Driving light is bright (very much like new Volvos'), work great in the Florida sunshine.
