  1. She’s at the front of the collection. The curator told me that the mechanic on staff stopped dead in his tracks as he walked by...any member’s in the area want to see it, PM me and I’ll be happy to work something out with the museum.

  2. Been a while since I last posted an update on the Grabber Lime Mach. Am working my way through the interior and now have the headliner and roof moldings in, the dash has been painted and installed, and just finished up putting the package tray and moldings back in. Will be working on the sail panels, interior quarter panels, installing the rear window and rear seats next.

  3. The D1 is no joke, but I wouldn't run the .060" gap specified, .035"~.045" is plenty especially if you're using a stock type small diameter cap.

  4. I have a Crower torque monster cam in my 4V 351 Cleveland with a C6 tranny and I really like it! My trans has a Trans Go shift kit in it and wow, it really is very quick off the line and chirps the tires when shifting very easily. I can break the tires loose at a 45 roll. But it has very good street manners too. Runs nicely in traffic and I have about 13-14 inches of vacuum at idle.

  5. My '71 started out as a 2-BBL 302 with 3.00:1 gearing and it would roast the (single) tire when I first got it. I don't fear the gear, being that I don't have to commute long distances or cruise the highway. The '71 is far from stock anymore and runs a 4.57 gear with a 28" tall tire. My Mach 1 has the option of a 4.11 or a 3.70 gear, as I have multiple 'pumpkins' for 8 and 9 inch rears. Guess you can tell, I enjoy acceleration :)

  6. "just missed a once in a lifetime opportunity to get rid of it " May be it's for the good. Sometimes life's in the way and you want/need start over fresh. (That's how I got my 429, a friend of mine also in need of a restart gave it to me.) As I recall you have a place where you can store it nicely, at some point you may very well will return to it. Good luck building guitars and don't worry too much! All the peeps I knew with Fiat and Alfa Romeo's fever, they all recovered! :D

  8. Thanks, I hope this can help others. There are days that I don't feel like working on it, but my theory is to do one thing a day (even if it is putting four nuts on to attach something), and after 30 days, then 30 more things are done.

  9. normally i we always see the fastbacks with the mach1 grill and fog lights..... this is the first time I've ever seen it without that. I low key like the black silhouette around the pony with no chrome molding. @Robsweden great job on the unique touch. really stands out.
