  1. I can confirm the February release date for the revised 990 rear sway bar. I spoke with Addco on Nov. 27th. Despite their website talking about "all 990s currently in stock", they admitted they actually have none in stock. New bars will be available after Feb. 14, 2021. I also suggested, like Stanglover, that they update their website description of the bar to indicate its unavailability. Not holding my breath for them to do that.

  2. They have been making tap extractors for years. They had them when I started in tool & die in the 1960's but usually do not work. If tap stuck enough to break tap they usually do not come out with the extractor. His was home made the factory made have spring steel pins. We usually put in EDM and burned them out Russia invented the EDM in the 1920's way before the U.S. had a clue. The U.S. could not figure out how Russia was putting such small dia. holes in rocket engine parts because all the drills we had that small would not drill the exotic materials. They were actually burning the holes

  3. Well, I made it! Arrived Monday afternoon, movers showed up at 8AM Tuesday, and have spent the rest of the week making the house livable. Will have to get car registered, driver's license, and a AZ business license over the next couple of weeks, then work on the garage to make it usable for wire work. Plan is to start back up Jan 1.

  4. Anyone using this head? If so, how did standard 4V headers fit (or not fit). Second question; anyone used them and have build information and dyno numbers? Thanks Chuck

  5. My daughter and her husband and kids have been visiting for Thanksgiving. While they were here, we dropped the headliner in her minivan and recovered it and reinstalled it. My son-in-law is a mechanic who specializes is Mercedes and BMW's, but can work on pretty much anything. He started bugging me about the 351 Cleveland for the Rickster. I had been planning to get it to the machine shop once I got the body panels replaced, but one thing led to another, and... well... the block is now sitting in the back of Truck Norris (F250 Superduty), ready to go to the machine shop Monday morning.

  6. Although the car is tucked away for winter, I did finally get some information from ADDCO in a live chat session (they never returned my emails) and they confirm that moving forward for the 71-73 Mustangs, the revised rear anti-sway bar design, thanks to Jpaz, will be available from 2/14/21. It actually reads "all 990's currently in stock and that are produced going forward are this revised design". That's a bit vague to me so I'll bet on the February date. I also suggested that they update their listing to reflect the "Revised design" and that has been forwarded to whom ever deals with that.

  9. Here is my 1973 Grande. Took 5-1/2 years to get it to this point. Pretty much a total restoration, took down to the bare shell. Insulated the roof yesterday. Still need to put headliner, carpet, seats, seatbelts, center console, door panels, front and rear windshields in. Align the side glass once roof rail is in. Body still need to finish installing side trim, buffing paint/clear coat. Get new tires and the front end aligned. Ready for a good shake down drive. I have owned car for 17 years, was my mothers daily driver from 1979 until she gave me the car in December 2000.

  12. You can modify your stock detent plate or build yourself a new one so that each position of the lever locking tab sits in a notch rather than on an open-ended slide.
