  1. I took a quick and shaky walk around video today. The new clutch fan is running nicely, the new seat belts and the new NOS rear bumper are seen.

  3. IF they were not balanced on a lug centric adaptor, chances are they are out of balance if they were ever balanced at all buying from CJ. You should not assume they were. Do two things, 1 inspect the lug holes for out of round ware i.e. egg shaped. If they are you'll never get them balanced properly. 2, have them rebalanced by someone who knows what he's doing with a lug centric adaptor. You CANNOT balance these wheels on a standard wheel balancer. There are of course other reasons for vibrations. Drive shaft U joints for example. I'm no mechanic, but if it were me, I'd start check

  4. +1 with what Don said. But if it were me, I would just get a hold of Don at OMS and get that section from a donor car and patch it in. It will save you a ton of fab time and will fit properly.

  5. Today, I installed the new steering box and steering linkage. The steering box was rebuilt by Red Head Steering Gears. Can you tell? I still need to tighten up the nut on the pitman arm, and torque everything. I ordered a 1-5/16 socket from Tekton.com, this afternoon. They make good stuff and shipping is super fast. I got shipping confirmation about 30 minutes after I placed my order. The socket will be here Wednesday, so I can finish the pitman arm tightening then, but I'll have the rest of the steering linkage ready to go by then.

  7. Got the convertible out for a local but extended drive Saturday. The weather was nice but I decided to not drop the top. Just wanted to get the car out, drive for a while, check for any issues, fill up the gas tank and just enjoy the car. Didn't want to hear anything but the 351 CJ . Didn't take any pics (should have). Got a few "thumbs up" from other motorists and passengers. Car is presentable at about 10 ft and greater. A great escape from the crazy week. I definitely enjoyed my afternoon. Ray

  8. Today, I took Frank out to get his annual inspection for registration, and decided that since it was such a nice day, I’d stretch the ride home out a bit and swung by the Vietnam Memorial at the airport. Since I have a cool new phone, it was such a nice day, and I’d always wanted some pics like this, I figured why not? I've always wanted a pic like this. Perfect day for it. My favorite of the bunch - I love 3/4 views of these cars! This one makes the hood look really big, and those are indeed bug splats on the windshield. Time for a bath! One of these da

  9. Since this started I ended up buying a Grande. Pretty well optioned. It was headed to crusher the next week if he did not sell it. His dad wanted it gone. Arizona car totally rust free. Does not need cowl, floors, tail light panel not even battery box is rusty. I was laughed at when I said how many thousands of dollars it would save and years it would save in a build. So what I am going to do is cut it up and make a track days car out of it. Will get the 2" Kar Kraft nose drop and all of their planned changes for Trans Am. I will take to frame shop and have put to zero and have already been in

  10. I unhooked the trailer from the truck. Today was recovery day and neck is not getting better. I will leave the car in trailer do not have the energy to get it out. My neck is gone. Pain like I have never had. Can take 4 ibuprofen and makes no change in the pain. Getting Dr. to schedule surgery tomorrow ASAP. I have had broken finger, wrist, and elbow along with other injuries and this neck kills them all. Difficult to breathe hurts to breathe deep. I had located a brake show grinder and will go get tomorrow and leave on the truck. That is the reason people think drum brakes suck is nobody ha
