A member must be active on the forums (at least 10 posts) to enter and must own the vehicle he/she is entering. A certain vehicle may only win once and it will be placed in the Hall of Fame forum! A member may enter different vehicles however. All entries must be 71-73 Mustangs (or Ford T5's!) Winners will be posted in the COTM feature block on the Portal page for 1 month plus they claim a spot in the month that they won for the upcoming year's 7173Mustang.com Calendar! To enter your car, just visit the submissions forum and choose your class...On the Road/Drivable cars or cars that are in Restoration Phase. Both classes have equal chances of becoming a spotlight vehicle! Post some photos and information about your Mustang. Tell the history of it or how you acquired it. The more interesting the better! The voting is mainly designed to help select which car wins each month. The car with the highest number of LIKES will be declared the winner at the end of each month and will be promptly moved to the Current Month's Spotlight forum. At that point, the next car with the highest number of LIKES will assume the lead for the next month and voting will continue. New submissions are welcome at any time during the process. Voters can LIKE or UNLIKE a car at anytime. They are also allowed to LIKE as many entries as they wish. The votes will work out to point to a winner each month. In the event of a tie, the staff may choose the winner in a private tie breaker vote. The contest is all for fun and we don't expect or welcome any "sore losers" or unfriendly remarks in any way. So keep it fun and keep those entries and votes coming! If you have any questions...please post them here!
  8. mrmach1 are you going to keep the radio? let me know. I modified mine to use a HD FM receiver, it sounds good, considering I only have two 3 1/2" speakers in the dash. http://www.7173mustangs.com/thread-adding-aux-input-to-a-am-8-track-radio?highlight=8-track
  9. As Don said, there is limited demand, once the vendor recoups the tooling cost, and makes some profit on the part, you will then see prices drop, but that could take years!!.

  11. Mine is insured through a Local RI company for guaranteed value of $19,500 the insurance company will not insure it for any more without having the car appraised, now if I had a 351 he could insure it for $26,000. hagarty has a Valuation tool. https://www.hagerty.com/apps/valuationtools/search here is the results on my car Current Values 1972 Ford Mustang 2dr Convertible Base, 8-cyl. 302cid/141hp 2bbl #1 Concours $34,900 Condition #1 vehicles are the best in the world. The visual image is of the best vehicle, in the right colors, driving onto the lawn at the finest concours. Perfectly clean, the vehicle has been groomed down to the tire treads. Painted and chromed surfaces are mirror-like. Dust and dirt are banned, and materials used are correct and superbly fitted. The one word description for #1 vehicles is "concours." #2 Excellent $23,600 Condition #2 vehicles could win a local or regional show. They can be former #1 vehicles that have been driven or have aged. Seasoned observers will have to look closely for flaws, but will be able to find some not seen by the general public. The paint, chrome, glass and finishes will all appear as excellent. No excessive smoke will be seen on startup, no unusual noises will emanate from the engine. The vehicle will drive as a new vehicle of its era would. The one word description for #2 vehicles is "excellent." #3 Good $14,400 Condition #3 vehicles could possess some, but not all of the issues of a #4 vehicle, but they will be balanced by other factors such as a fresh paint job or a new, correct interior where applicable. #3 vehicles drive and run well, but might have some incorrect parts. These vehicles are not used for daily transportation but are ready for a long tour without excuses, and the casual passerby will not find any visual flaws. "Good" is the one word description of a #3 vehicle. #4 Fair $9,800 Condition #4 vehicles are daily drivers, with flaws visible to the naked eye. The chrome might have pitting or scratches, the windshield might be chipped. Paintwork is imperfect, and perhaps the body has a minor dent. Split seams or a cracked dash, where applicable, might be present. No major parts are missing, but the wheels could differ from the originals, or other non- stock additions might be present. A #4 vehicle can also be a deteriorated restoration. "Fair" is the one word that describes a #4 vehicle.

  13. $30k to $40K MAX if it is truly Like new, it could have 100 miles but have rust in the usual places, it all depends on how it was stored.
