  1. I think it looks great. They never made one and to create one is awesome. This guy is really talented. I wish I could do 1/100th of what Obsidian can do. Rick Looks great. Question about how you have the windshield to hold firm w/out frame around it? guess as an artistic rendition of style change, just bringing out the concept
  2. welcome from a one time and last time mustang owner unless i become rich. Haha. Welcome from latrobe PA. HOPE you are reading everyones comments to the newbys on this site. As my fingers are numb in my custo comments to them while typing in the past couple of hours and quite late in the nite/morn bu to sa.y look into what you want on the long term early and to figure you will not see a big value no matter what you spend for your personal satisfaction and gratification compared to the older and new shelbys but I LIKE MINE AND GOT TO FIGURE THAT WITH 400 PICS ON MY PHOTO ALBUM AND 18 IMAGES TO VIEW ALL ANGLES OF MINE SCHEDULED TO BE FOR MARCH COTM 2015 caledar. Worked on since got it in 03 ciao MIKKE looks like my post did not go through so all to say for now at after 2AM is see my 400 pic photo album and MARCH 2015 COTM FOR A GOOD MOTIVATOR MIKKE FROM LATROBE PA WELCOME
  3. i have sitting on the fence watching to work and rework on mine per se since 03 ie 08 w/body to one place and motor to another then the paint and drive train to another and i hope to be off the fence in the tweaking of the performance matter before begins to snow out and maybe a hood and rear lid customize over the winter. Welcome from latrobe PA see my 400 pic of restoration to....COTM MARCH 2015 as well ++ more of how it looked that is not completely posted yet if you need a little xtra humor and entertainment for i have to offer from my perspective and detail comments if you have the spare time and if you are optimistic and open minded as other products check out the complete write up on xado.com which i do not see a snake oil product and can see as you have to stand by amsoil- i too as well you might find xado performance for permanent and long term auto operations enhancement- interesting as a possible addition to your line as a distributor of- i have no status with this product as well not in the position to get into its business for my econonic growth as i am set but it appears the distributorship end of it is still at its botton floor and no other product is in the market to date to compete whether to the auto owner to the repair shops nationwide.
  4. if you want an immediate on the road or if you want to do it your way with no surprises that might be up the road-go for a good price and farm it out for rotisseried near you or a good priced band pro body shop as advertised in central FL or in TX then modded frame-suspension then to how you want the performance to cosmetics looks of what i would do if i did mine all over. PS AFTER REREADING INTO FURTHER DEPTH OF YOURS IT DOES NOT APPEAR YOU NEED SUCH A RADICAL COMMENT AS MINE@ WELCOME FROM LATROBE PA
  5. either way with wider and higher profiles the magnum 500s as new in mustang one catalog co in georgia -hope you have power steering and then a little further rechroming to get rid of the black insert trim to make the wheels look as exotic as the like 74 Pantera De Tomaso that Ford Lincoln Mecury collaborated with italian exotic sports carbody stylist 'GIA' if you want an all around impressive cosmetic modification instead of just tacking on modded rims and then research an ultra exotic car rear 'wing'(s) from the latter into the 80s models of the De Tomaso Panteras and their upgraded styles to the more extremes on the lambos and maseratis as such! Them why not put an intercooled bi turbo and oil cooler to a gear vendors overdrive for extremely high speed cruising of course upwards and over 150 mph for racing on the ventura hiway s yearly race to the tracks! Make it look handle and feel like even the new mustangs never seen before. I am only looking at the entire rechrome of my magnums w/out the black inserts then the 69 5 ported hood and rear duck tail myself. either way with wider and higher profiles the magnum 500s as new in mustang one catalog co in georgia -hope you have power steering and then a little further rechroming to get rid of the black insert trim to make the wheels look as exotic as the like 74 Pantera De Tomaso that Ford Lincoln Mecury collaborated with italian exotic sports carbody stylist 'GIA' if you want an all around impressive cosmetic modification instead of just tacking on modded rims and then research an ultra exotic car rear 'wing'(s) from the latter into the 80s models of the De Tomaso Panteras and their upgraded styles to the more extremes on the lambos and maseratis as such! And maybe a fabricated roll bar as the 69 convertible shelby gt350/500s had on my convertible
  6. love the 'key lime sunshine' paint look like the orange w/yellow tinted i call miami sunshine and orange with a little spritzer of yellow ie for a kind of flavoring look as back in a day those mid 70s stingray owners repainted their with ~ emeron a mother of pearl before the flip flop paint themes came out. As for my existing 3 inch hookers to 2 1/4 inch to h pipe to series 40 flowmasters i would much more appreciate 3 inch pipes through an x pipe cross over to series 10 flowmasters then leave the rest down as the 2 1/4s as do not matter but feel a cut out in the middle of the x or a pair of cut out gates just before the h pipe would do just as good for performance ane efficiency-your input?
  7. i finally had QA1 18 level adjustable shocks w/coils over in the front and Koni Classics in the rear.
  8. Thanks, yea should be pretty durable. yea and original from previous owner ... thanks for the info tho. i think my response was lost in transit but here goes again. I did everything on mine upgraded - modified - improved the way i wanted in the mechanics and cosmetics and plan a 69 shellby GT w/rear duck tail and 5 port hood re 3 intakes fwd and 2 exhaust ducts on aft on my NASA hood as well see it favorable to rechrome my 15 x 7 fronts x 8s rears and 14 x 7 space saver in trunk if the tread can be restretched m it w/out it tearing no matter how many shops doing the work to the delays and extra expenses by them to do it my way. Ie, the rechrome and leaving the black painted inserts on the inner wheels as well w/chrome rings around my multi-color headlamps. I have the march COTM w/18 angles images that will be on that page of next years calendar and plan those changes to show on some other years to come mustang.com calendars. Ps re, leaving the black inserts off of the wheels. Thinking outside of the box like my rendition of ~ Mustang E (as in exotic car edition like the PANTERA L w/the Bosch L Jetronic fuel injection and 5 speed, i have a Holley 'Avenger' MPEFI on my modded q code to r code 72 convertible

  10. You read my mind but cut those ducts into my NASA metal hood and a rig of the middle ram air port like on the 70 Shelby GT350/500 convertible and rigged power fan into an Edelbrock Air Gap to feed in max air. You read my mind but cut those ducts into my NASA metal hood on my 72 convertible w/r code cleveland and a rig of the middle ram air port like on the 70 Shelby GT350/500 convertible in my attch photo and rigged power fan into an Edelbrock Air Gap to feed in max air. My purpose of rear ducts will be open to allow hot air to be forced out to over top of engine and angled up and sideward on each of duct opening to escape around each end of the windshield.
  11. The realization, finally might have answers to under performance issue and get the car back which has been off the road in modifications and corrections.....@ 2 years now.
  12. got mine from a highschool car shop class student, with all the options wanted and ran but not too well, that I trusted for $2,500.00 Could see it needed a lot of body filler under the filler to rust and swissed cheesed spots underbody, door, frame....under hood. 1st garage it went to, applied a whole mess of tar then paint over it. Did not like the job though a lot was at that point diassembled and reclaimed it. Had the entire body cleaned up and restored from frame up for an extreme cost. of course for the cost of the car....expected to do that.
  13. Back in January had O2 sensor on my EFI replace and retuned. Taken to a dyno tune shop which told something keeping the tune up from hitting the 350+ hp as rated from the rebuilder before the EFI system was installed which offered amended O2 set up to handle up to 400hp. Outside of thinking wrong O2 set up via reinstallation of the stock 250hp set up to the EFI unit which rated still for the 351 Cleveland, though 2 barrel carburetor. Been laid up for 6 weeks in the dyno tune shop.
  14. final touchs on a dyno tune and test on the dyno tune. Problem of getting marginal hp out of EFI unit as installed on a Cleveland w/hi performance Lunati Flat Camshaft and Com Cams solid lifters w/9.5:1 compression rating on engine, said rating of hp to be under 300 hp. Thinking when this O2 sensor went out of which was one for the unit rated up to 400 hp. Was replaced with the stock unit which only handles up to 250 hp though with 289 ft lbs torque because it has an Edelbrock 2 barrel intake manifold with the ported cleveland heads. Engine was rebuilt from q code to be rated at 350 hp out of engine. Whereby 3 runs through 3rd and 4th gear rated at 255 hp at rear wheels when SAE stock q code w/8.6:1 compression and hydraulic lifter rated by factory at 266 SAE. To be a valid issue to consider. Have to do further research if to find that suspicion to be correct. The Lunati camshaft is rated to handle at least 10.0:1 engine compression. This Holley 'Avenger' MPEFI has a solid throttle body 700 cfm 4 barrel carburetor. If research is correct, would think that between the same vendor of the Holley and the installer would be equally responsible as I put out 2000 dollars between two tune ups and if case as installer should have ordered same o2 wide band for further hp as on car and also on file with vendor for this specialty car. Does anyone else think it it could be something else. Current idle recommended by others and @ what dyno tune specialist has is @ 1,300 rpm in idle. I have standard hoses to my ram air actuators. Is there any of a difference in air pumped to carburetor through them?
  15. you mean like a gear vendors overdrive:cruise control~heavy duty shocks~sound system~souped up cleveland power disc brakes...mod running lights~roll control/ and of course a bi-turbo
  16. welcome from latrobe PA. I spent 20 years living in FL. SEE my 300 pics on my photo album for background on this mustang project. mikke
  17. Oooh, yes i see that "rare" it's a "front wheel drive" and the trim looks white on the photo but its chrome... Ahhh next owner may as go all the way of either a rear wheel drive added w/a power assist from a @ battery pack like w/the new exotic cars that have high hp/2 second to 60mph and hi mpg OR a 4 wheel drive hi hp driving back roader as in a desert rat? Incidentally, we had a 73 red convertible w/a roll bar in the past couple a years ago that sported a cleveland w/aussie heads and a mean nitrous boost out of Northern NJ. Does anyone remember his member name. Not active anymore but still on the rolls here?
  18. For all purpose, mine in the car 'hospital' since bought it in 03 but hope to start the car cruises and shows next year.
  19. About a dumper switch, a cutout on the exhaust? Everything else sounds great, the cut out since I have 2 1/4 from h pipe down, a way to keep it running on the highway when smokies not around and for best efficiency at long drives however w/a cleveland w/a hi pro lunati flat camshaft and solid lifters, do not expect gas mileage, at all. See my March COTM for next year, give you extra ideas.
  20. That's anew. If the leafs have been replaced as precautionary for the TCPs or as mine blew shortly afterwards, then the leafs replaced 1st, then QA-1s in front and Koni's in rear.
  21. ::welcome::Between when I was 227lbs w/both legs up to the knees in plastic AFO's, could call me a large man, even for the convertible and especially having to widen the gap not only between the brake and clutch pedal but also the gas pedal so I got a 4 way power seat motor and assembly out of a 97 Thunderbird and with a little lengthened of the track, help me for getting in, to adjustment, and out of it.
  22. ::welcome::::beer::Something to settle my nerves before an upcoming return after the years of cleveland rebuild from the q to r code and further with an increased compression to 9.5:1 w/solid lifters and a Lunati Hi Performance flat camshaft by the engine man at 350hp however since the 650 Holly 4v to a 700cfm 4 barrel Holly 'Avenger' MPEFI w/ forced air but by one dyno shop rated at 255hp engine and 289 ft lbs torque w/an Edelbrock 2v intake manifold to the 4speed Holly wide ratio on the floor to the 3.5A:1 rear axle ratio currently being tweeked out at a dyno tun shop supposed to be rated @ 300hp from the engine. Who is to believe what? Returning shortly to road test for myself w/that summit dash/window unit not only for the hp but also the 0-60, 1/4 mile, and braking time. 23. To see the 26 pages, where do I go? as well when you say shrinking dis time, do you mean time of braking, a test I will be taking, hopefully, as soon as I get the car back, with my Summit computer to check on braking speed as well 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.
  24. From what I can tell - looks like you are going to take your Mustang on a long trip. I hope it is a safe trip and you don't have to use the AAA service. Have fun. Ray Ray, I would love to think that but Dec 3 last year got it back from this well known shop my way that supposedly had a tweaking out of the electric parking brake with the conversion of power disc front and rear to replace the drum assembly but all turned out to be more of a twerking dance on their part as they told me it brakes fine but just off the lot and onto the immediate highway when found no brakes, ie to find the cotter pin to the brake panel was broken by them as well, if it did not end up stopping via running off road, up a couple curbs, and trashing this guys front yard, in having no choice but a barrage of trees to an immediate hill to halt the vehicle going down a hill, only @ 50 yards from those trees. If the cotter pin was good, then, would have badly scored the rotors. As would be expected, the suspension and underneath got trashed badly and the fittings on the rear brakes became such a bad leaking problem, had to be rebuilt to the tune of any additional 3,000 dollars as well another ? for the bill at the dyno tune shop.
