  1. Damn, why can't you live closer... I'd take them in a second.
  2. I was shocked how much they were asking for the GTS. Supercharged LTA aside the price jump is crazy over there. And now it looks like they're producing the Maloo ute which looks awesome as well. The FPV Falcon GT is in line with how much a BOSS Mustang cost over here. And doesn't it have most of the features the BOSS had? But again, you're paying a pretty penny for it I'm sure. Can you guys buy stuff like the Caddy CTS-V in OZ? I bought the SS specifically because it was cheap considering all the bells and whistles that come along with it. For something comparable I would have to buy an M or AMG. Now you're talking price increase. Wonder how much the price tag for a new Mustang is going to be there. I tested the 2014 Charger SRT and the SS is 10 times the car. The 300 is on the same chassis and it looks great inside but it feels very heavy in comparison.
  3. I think it said in the post somewhere he was trying to get $38k for it. While it looks brand new that still seems pretty high. I think that blue was the rarest color for that year too though. The SSV doesn't have the same engine from my understanding. They have a 6L 362hp (270kw) v8 while the SS state-side has the 6.2L LS3. Wonder why they just don't standardize the engines. I would think you guys would love the LS3 in Oz. In the states they're going for $44,000 as an average price before tax, title, and tags. Very much a bang for your buck to own a 4 door Camaro SS. Though now that you can get a Hellcat in the $60k range Chevy will need to up it's game if they plan to keep the SS over here. They should add the LT1 to the car as an option for 2016.
  4. How about one with 7,685 miles? Not sure if it's sold or not but I could check for you. 2009 G8 GXP
  5. Thanks! Yep, this one is #2694 of 3502. Need to look into Virginia International Raceway or Virginia Motorsports Park for drag. After watching some vids of other guys taking it out I've got that itch. :D I actually got the dealership to throw in a set of Yokohama ADVAN Sport A/S tires since winter is coming. Would say I wouldn't have to worry about too much snow around here but if this winter is like last winter I may have her sitting in the garage some. It'll be interesting to see what they do past 2016. The 2015 is going to have the MAG ride and a six speed manual. But they haven't even announced a price for the 2015's yet. GM isn't trying to sell a lot of them for some reason. IMO it's the best car in their lineup.
  6. Thought I would share my new daily driver. Picked her up off the showroom floor last Wed. It's a 2014 Chevy  SS sports sedan with a 415hp LS3 under the hood. I can't express to you how much fun this car is to drive! Of course it's not really a Chevy but a Holden Commodore. In fact I have the Holden emblems and center caps on order already. Besides the front Brembo's and throaty exhaust this thing is a sleeper all the way. Most people have no clue what it is.
  7. Cut my finger real bad in July and had to get the tendon surgically reattached. So I wasn't able to do anything that I wanted so far this summer. Finally rust-proofed my drivers door inside and out, wire-wheeled and epoxy sealed the few places it rusted through. Waiting for it to dry so I can sand and prime. Then I can put the drivers door back on the car and I can start pulling and replacing the brake lines.
  8. Needs a lot more pics before I could justify the price but man this thing looks stealth! http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/cto/4522822138.html
  9. Who needs a hood when any rain would evaporate from the heat coming off it. :D
  10. Wow, a lot of them left early. Also saw a 71-73 coupe driving around on the strip but couldn't get a good enough view to see the year. Did you drive up with yours Nitrous?
  11. Thought I would share a couple pics of some cool Mustang's I saw in Ocean City over the weekend. Didn't get a chance to talk with any of the owners so I'm not sure if they're members or not...
  12. Yeah it's down the road from me as well. Good looking vert. Been on CL more than once though if this is the one you're talking about: http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/ctd/4443063443.html
  13. Love at the how they guy says it's easily a $25 to $30k car. Wonder if he means that's how much you'd have to sink into it. :D http://baltimore.craigslist.org/cto/4419335278.html
  14. Wish that one was closer. I have a 351 that'd slide right in.
  15. Didn't think we had any salvage yards close to me but you prompted me to do a search and surprisingly I have one right down the road! So I'm going to hit it up this weekend and see if they have anything cheap. Thanks for the advice Ray. And now I know where to ship the car once the rust completely over-takes it! Yeah, pretty sure I'm not going to keep the Cyclone's but I'm a LONG way from worrying about the rims I have on this thing. :)
  16. Hey guys, anyone have a steel rim laying around they don't need? One of the Western Cyclone's currently on my stang isn't holding air (I believe it's been painted too many times.) and I'm tired of filling it up every week. Don't care about the condition of the steel rim; just need something I can slap some used rubber on to let it sit. Thanks for any help!
  17. Welcome from Leesburg VA! Sent from my SM-T310 using Tapatalk
  18. What? Did she not like convertibles or something?? :)
  19. Now see I agree with you all the way! Finding a good donor body would be the perfect solution. But you haven't met my wife. :dodgy: It's hard for her to really look at it without getting angry. haha So filling up the garage completely with Mustangs; while a dream come true for me; I would end up sleeping in one. I like that quote! "Sometimes you just have to hit the reset button!"
  20. Yeah no sentimental value at all. I just bought it on a whim from eBay not really knowing what I was looking for when buying a Mustang. It was a Minn. car sold new in Philly. So it looks like it's spent all its time in the north. Needless to say I Learned a hell of a lot more about these cars in the year I've had this thing. And I've not once been mad at myself for getting it. I just think for the money it's going to take to fix this one I can find a straight, drivable fastback or vert that doesn't need the wealth of bodywork. Here is a link to some pics of the rust issues and some progress I had made through the beginning of last summer. https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/116803080658659687084/albums/5791538903697525969?authkey=CP3R69C-wJG7Dg The big issues again are the cowl; which you can see the blower box hanging on for dear life. You can see on the driver rear quarter they used about 5 pounds of bondo. I was actually impressed with the sculpting job they did. :) Other stuff needing replacement include the extension patch panels for the trunk, outer wheelhouses (maybe inner as well), and inner fender apron.
  21. I would totally finish it if it didn't need so much body work. The general consensus is the cowl needs to be replaced and to have a shop do it isn't worth the cost. It's just too much $$$ for a run-of-the-mill coupe with no sentimental value. It also needs new quarters, outer wells and apron pieces.
  22. I'm thinking of parting out my '71 Mustang coupe. I was wondering if anyone who has done the same thing could give me any advice on the best way to go about it? How successful you were, etc.? Really mulling this over and can't decide what to do. Any shared experiences would be helpful. Thanks!
  23. Great looking car. But $21,500? Anyone else think that's a bit high? http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/ctd/4157644263.html
  24. Yeah I would be seriously considering this one if it didn't have the #'s matching 302. Really want to throw my 351w into a good body.
  25. Not bad looking for the price... http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/doc/cto/4127274013.html
