  1. Glass is riding up over the metal of the rear window. Is this an adjustment issues or is their stops or guides that need to be replaced? John J
  2. I want to change it out. 2 of the widow switches stick. Question is can I just take the cover off of the switch and remove it or do I have to remove the door skin to remove it from the back side. 3. OK I think have have the correct decals. The only one I don't have is the AC one on the side of the receiver. Thanks for the feedback everyone. John J
  4. OK I have the Caution Fan, Emission and Engine decals. What am I missing. I seen a few cars with front on the air cleaner not sure if that on a 73 Q code or not. I know some of the decal kits that are sold are not correct. John J
  5. Nice Vert. Welcome from Michigan. John J
  6. I not finding one for a 73. Are there none being made? The only one I can find is for a 71 and earlier years. The wire broke off the old one. Radio https://www.npdlink.com/product/suppressor-radio-noise-voltage-regulator-mounted-exact-repro/196013/200432?top_parent=200001&year=1973
  7. Looking to replace my lug nut on my car. I found some Ford lug nut from the seventy's that are close and need 10 more. Here is the part number. Once in a great while a few pop up EBay. I have not been able to find them anywhere else.
  8. Do you know if the Firestone are any good ? No one in my area has them. Everyone has BF Goodrich or Copper because the are cheaper. I am looking at Firestone or Goodyear and would like to find out any pros or cons on both brands. John J
  9. The Goodyears are available from Lucas Tire I posted link in another reply. Coker pissed Goodyear off several years ago and they pulled all their tires from him except a couple really old ones. Lucas has any period correct tire for any mustang including the Blue Streak that came on Shelby and Cobra. They also have a new release of a radial that looks like the RWL Goodyear I also put link to that in the other post. Thanks David for the link. I missed it in the earlier post. I was not familiar with Lucas tire. I will check them out. John
  10. I like the wide ovals Jeff. I check Coker web site and there not in stock at the moment. I think buy them next year if I am still employed. To bad no one makes the Goodyear white letter tires anymore. John J
  11. I have a white and black boot. The black boot heats up faster and is much easier to put on then the white one. I think the white one fits a little better. image uploader
  12. OK so there are no Goodyear white letter tire available for my 73 vert. Would the Firestone Wide Ovals be more correct then the BF Goodrich radial TAs on a 73. The Wide Ovals are pricey but you don't see a lot of them. I currently have the TAs but need to replace them soon because of their age. John J
  13. Just wonder what brand of tires would have came on my car in 73. It does not say on my window sticker other then they where radial tires. I also was wondering if the white letter tires where radial tires or bias ply tires. Mustang by the numbers book said that 21,860 cars came with raised white letter tires in 1973. No mention of brands anywhere or type. John J
  14. Nice car. Welcome from Michigan. John J
  15. I went with the 73 stripes because I have the exterior side molding. I think it came out well. I now have to put the mustang badges back on. John J
  16. They are a mom and pop operation. When I ordered white comfort weave it took 2 months for it to arrive. They don't seem to like to answer the phone either. They are painfully slow but the product I received was the real thing. It matched my back seat perfect. I only did the front seats on my convertible. John J
  17. Nice car. Welcome from Michigan. John J
  18. Looking for a photo of a 73 convertible with side stripes. I ordered them form graphics designs in FL. I want to make sure I get the placement right. John J
  19. Welcome from Michigan. Nice car. John J
  20. I had problem with my motor for a while. It worked when it felt like it. Clean up the ground and replaced the bolts. Cleaned up all the connections. Still did not work. I picked up a used one from WCCC. They have used ones that are tested with a 90 day warranty. About the same price has a repo. Painted it and put it in a problem solved. 21. I know that I lot of people don't like them. But I have had my Edlebrock 1406 for over 5 year with no issues. It was a huge improvement over the stock motorcraft carburetor. John J
  22. Here you go. Not cheap but exact replacement. I bought one last year from this vendor. https://www.ebay.com/itm/D1ZZ-19986-A-FOMOCO-FORD-71-73-MUSTANG-COUGAR-A-C-BLOWER-SWITCH-NEW-NOS-ORIGINAL-/121290875911 John J
  23. The weather sucks in Detroit . More snow in the forecast for tomorrow. One positive thing is I filled my tank for 20 bucks. I bought gas at Sams Club for 99 cents a gallon. Stay healthily everyone! John J
  24. Gas is crazy cheap in Michigan right now. I bought premium at Costco for 1.55 and regular for 1.09. What it going for in your area? John J
