  7. John, am on the road for the Memorial Day weekend so I don’t have access to my catalogs and parts locator. But...I remember the part # for that gasket. D94Y-6789-B. Not sure if the after market ever sold that or not. You can try searching Amazon, E-Bay or Google it and see if anyone like Green Sales or NOS Parts shows stock. A lot of times the parts broker Rear Counter.Com will show different parts companies that handle NOS parts that you search by part #. Good Luck with your search. [emoji594] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thanks for the part number. I ordered a couple from a Ford dealer who had them. John J

  10. I have a 73 Q code convertible and I agree with David. I have heard of the 351 4V called a CJ or cobra jet but I have never seen it called that by Ford. On the Ford sticker its listed as 351 4 V 8 cylinder and its the same on my dealer invoice. John J

  18. Success put in the new starter today and the engine started right up. I went with a Tuff Stuff starter from NPD. According to the label on the box it made in the states. NPD is 20 miles from my house and they had one in stock. Paid 115.00 for a new one. Top bolt was a pain as predicted. I replaced the solenoid and the cable too. Here the link if anyone is looking for a starter . It fit like a glove. John J https://www.npdlink.com/store/products/mustang_starter_new_super_torque-101097-433.html

  20. I used to work for a public school system and could use the auto shop when every I wanted. But those days are gone now. I now stuck in my garage at home with a floor jack and jack stands. Where the best spot to put the floor jack on the front end of a vert and where the best spot for the jack stands once it in the air. I don't want to mess any thing up and I don't want the car falling on me! Need to change out the starter. John J
  21. Here the link to the Ford corporate blue that NPD sells. I think it a good match to what Ford used back in the day. I used it on my air cleaner. Came out well. https://www.npdlink.com/store/catalog/Mustang_Restoration_Paint_Engine_Engine_Compartment-2249-1.html John J
