  1. Welp, I got another classic car! :)

This one's a little smaller though.... and slower.... and.... Italian! :D

1972 Fiat 500L all original and rust free.

Look up “project binky” for ideas on what to do with it.

I have so many ideas as to what this might become but I'm trying to keep it as is as it is original.
Actually the wiper motor on the Mustang has more torque than this 30 cui monster. :D

Now you can challenge Mr. Bean to a race.

  2. I've only got positive feedback on the Vitour Galaxys, especially when it comes to adherence in the rain. I'll probably try them when my Coopers need replacing. it's interesting to see that on yours the writing is on exactly opposing sides of the tire. All the pictures I found regarding tires for sale here in Europe have the writing off to one side which kinda looks good in a 60s kind of way but in the other hand bugs me little. My jury's still out on that.
  3. The title says it all. Coupes (and maybe Sportsroofs), not convertibles! The question came up in a Facebook group and I thought if anybody knows the answer then it's gonna be one of you guys. :)
  4. If there are plans for doing this again or something similar… if I may I’d really like to partake, seeing as I’m in Europe and my Mustang is used to long distance journeys. …
  5. Welcome from Luxembourg, Europe!
  6. I just checked. They are more or less 12 and 6 o'clock. Just a little off.
  7. I need to check that. Currently my lift is engaged by a friend’s 49 Chevy truck.
  8. Thanks. I'll give that a try. I thought there might exist some kind of Gadget that would do the job but I'll try this method you mentioned, thanks a lot! A spacer is out of the question as there is a very tiny gap between the fender and the tire because of the lowered suspension.
  9. Alignment is fine. I don't think the PS box has ever been rebuilt. It might be because of the 255 tires though but if I remember correctly it also did it with the 235 ones.....
  10. Does anybody know if there is a steering rack limiter available for our cars? Or if there is another remedy? I need to prevent the front left tire from rubbing on the frame rail when turning it all the way to the left. They complained about it during inspection and it won't pass next time if the problem persists. I know that the problem is common to our cars but they don't care.
  11. Yeah, they really screwed that up. The quality of that magazine has been gradually declining for a few years. But I’m really happy my car was featured in it because this was the magazine we would all drool over as teenagers (one of them at least! ;) ) and I was even more thrilled because it made the cover.
  12. So today I've had my 72 for 20 years exactly. A lot has happened during those 20 years. she's seen 5 different sets of rims, has been restored, got a new crate engine, an AOD transmission, a new 3.8 rear end, served as my wedding vehicle, has been to Italy twice, Austria, Hamburg, the Dutch coast an many many more destinations in Europe... I personally put a little over 235000 kilometers (146000 miles) on it. it was featured in three German magazines (once even made the cover), it was used as a background picture on the website of an Australian parts supplier (without my knowledge) ..... the wife is long gone but the Mustang is still there... and most of all I found this forum and met a whole lot of awesome people because of her, many from this forum (James, Chuck, Dave, Don, Roy, Rush, Travis, Tim, Eddie ... I hope I haven't forgotten anyone) she's come a long way but I think she aged well
