  5. I would have also. The main thing is if I can get the bolt out without removing the head that would be my preferred method.
  6. One of the alternator mounting bolts broke off a little while back. Check out this video from Jeff Ford for an idea.

  9. Not sure if this what you are looking for but in the master parts catalog in section 120 has all the distributor applications by engine with the part number cross reference.

  12. Just to add to this tread, I saw this adapter at CJ Pony parts for adding a 3G alt to a 1G system. If someone wanted to maintain the "factory look" and connections.   14. If you want new heads check out these folks http://www.ausfordparts.com/afd4v.html. If want to say what iron just locate some more 4v heads that you can rebuild.

  16. In the past I have used "full field" testing to troubleshoot charging problems. Here is a good link for this test and other test to help you troubleshoot this type of problem. Take a look at the load test, no load test, and full field test. Hope this helps. http://www.fordification.com/tech/charging.htm

  19. Will e gave a very good functional operation description. I have a GV on my 72 Mach 1 Q code and I would say it is one of the best upgrades I have added. I have put about 3300 miles on mine with no issues. It bolted right on with no mods. One of the main points I like is I can put the drive train back to original as I had a new drive shaft made for the GV setup.
