  1. No big updates unfortunately. Slowly been finishing body work on the panels when I have time.we sold our home and im about 3 weeks away from having my detatched garage work ready at my new place. Hopefully make some headway then.
  2. Sorry my dad and I have been working on it some on the weekends just been very busy between trying to sell our home and doing a '53mg & '71 jaguar e-type for a customer. We have been working on all the body panels hood, fenders and doors mainly. I hope to get back on it hard here soon and get some paint on it.it isnt far at all.ill try to get some pics of our progress within the next few weeks as well.
  3. ^that's a great idea! Only thing I might would check on is cutting out the carpet or firewall pad where your bring it through and making sure you have enough harness to meet the dash harness.I would not want to extend every wire to the main harness plug.
  4. ^no problem. Thanks guys. Its a pretty straightforward project, I really don't think ill have to lengthen more than 1 or 2 wires maybe not any.its def gonna look 100% better than the huge harness running directly over the driver side shock tower
  5. Good idea on the shield and that was my plan for a grommet after its painted. Hopefully the car will never be in the rain unless I get caught in it
  6. Ive had this plan for how is was going to tuck the harness a couple weeks ago and was finally able to make it happen this afternoon.ill do a step by step for anyone wanting to do this.its not completely finished by any means as I might relocate the voltage regulator depending on turning radius.im open to any input on improvements. First off I started with a holesaw kit and went ahead and hooked the firewall grommet up made a 2inch hole slightly above it. a few months back I welded 4studs under the driver side apron for whatever I might need to mount and it looks like its going to work out perf

  8. Okay. Thanks much. When I drilled the old panel out I could of swore it was the original spot welds buff I must of been wrong. Ill fill them up.
  9. Okay but why would my oem 71 tailight panel have these holes if they were never used til 73? Is no one else's like this?
  10. Actually the way im routing everything I doubt ill have to lengthen much of it at all.ill try to get some pics of it here soon
  11. FINALLY got the engine bay in primer this weekend. Dang what a job, I shaved a few holes in the bay and mounted some studs on the backside of the aprons for things like the horns, Starter solenoid, etc. Ill be tucking the harness and relocating the battery to the trunk.
  12. Mach71351c I checked my old tailight panel a bit ago on my 71 and the factory panel has these same holes along the bottom of it.is it possible the tailight harness had some clips that went in there to hold it to the panel?
  13. Thanks so much guys. Ill take care of the holes. Glad u caught it before paint. Why would they put a hole in the bottom of the extensions if nothing goes there?
  14. When I purchased my mach 1 there was nothing on the rear of the car to go by other than the trunk so ive been buying parts and finally have accumulated everything I believe.ive replaced the tailight panel and im not sure what goes on at the bottom of the quarter extension.is this hole supposed to be drilled through the tailight panel with a bolt and nut run through the bottom of the extension? Also I ordered the license plate light with bracket and the shield, does anyone have a closeup photo of these mounted on the car so I can get an idea. Thanks much
  15. Thanks. Ill check into that on the front. Does it not try to bend the tailight panel in the rear by mounting it that way?I can't picture that supporting the whole weight of the back half of the car since it only uses the brackets that weld to the trunk floor, maybe im wrong
