  1. http://quadcities.craigslist.org/cto/5210800911.html FYI to all.
  2. Hello to all, have one more part I was going to save from the sold project. Was going to hang these on the garage wall. But decided someone else could probably put them to use. Set of used Ansen #7214 valve covers, with baffles but no oil drippers or plug wire brackets. These are in nice shape. They are the "raw" or unpolished style. Somewhere along their life span, they were blasted. Some nicks here and there, no cracks that I could see. They are in nice shape. Anyway, $125 or offer, price includes shipping to the lower 48 states. Prefer paypal for payment but open to other options. Thanks Jon
  3. Randy at Midlife sure knows his stuff. I will always use him for checking out wiring, if I ever get another project. Anyway, Let me know when your harness arrives. (FYI to all, I am down to just the courtesy lights and alternator harness left on the list. They are priced cheap at $10 each plus shipping if you need either of those 2 parts left.) Thanks Jon UPDATE- Someone just bought the alternator harness, so down to the courtesy lights now. 3 lights for 10 bucks plus shipping. Thanks Jon Last item sold, courtesy light set are gone. Hope the parts work for all their new owners. Thanks Jon
  4. Yes, $100 for the headlight, $45 for the taillight and $10 for the alternator harness. I never intentionally try to make more then what I have in the parts, keeps harmony among the hobbyist and businesses. Most of the time I lose my ass. But if it helps out others doing restorations, that suits me fine. Jon

  7. Yea, I agree, air shocks at one time. And get both mounting areas repaired at the same time. If one side did this, sure enough so will the other side eventually.
  8. Don, harness went out priority mail this afternoon. Should see it on Monday I would think. Thanks again. Jon
  9. I was hoping you would chime in Randy and I appreciate it. I couldnt remember the differences in the taillight, but still had a notion on the headlight and alternator being different. Thanks for the clarification. I was hoping you would chime in Randy and I appreciate it. (UPDATE- Now only 4 items left, headlight harness sold for $100)
  10. Sent you some pics to your email from my phone. Let me know if they came through. I never know if I am using my phone properly when it comes to emailing.
  11. Hi, lack of memory allows me a way to cop out on the answer, but I dont think 71 and 73 exchange equally. The taillight harness may be equal, but the alternator and the headlight harness are different I believe. (Maybe another forum member can help out more in depth.) If any of the harnesses will work, just make an offer on the ebay listing. I already paid for the auction listing, so I will keep them on ebay until time runs out, but feel free to offer what you can afford, I will probably accept it. Thanks Jon
  12. It appears to be a busted shock mount which can be welded up by someone who knows what they are doing. Also not sure if replacement sheet metal for that area is available aftermarket, probably just used. Not sure what caused it- heavy bump or bottoming out, but there must have been stress cracks in that area and weakened the metal. I wont try to judge the cars value unless I see it.
  13. Well, I am hoping to get out of them what you charged me. Not much market for old harnesses I guess. That is why I stated to make an offer, as there has been no absolutely no interest in them. Dont know why- evidently everyone has a harness they trust. FYI--- the 5 items I have left on ebay have a lower buy it now price and are also tagged with a best offer. If you feel a need for them, don't be afraid to make an offer, as I want them to go to a better home.... or garage.... or shop.... or shed soon. Thanks

  15. Hello to all. I have 5 listings on ebay of parts that I no longer need. 1971 Mustang Alternator harness, taillight harness, headlight harness, fuel filler tube, courtesy lamps. Harnesses checked out and repaired as needed by Randy at Mid Life Harness Restoration. Search under ebay seller Fastbackjon. All listings have a buy it now or best offer. Dont be surprised if I take whatever price you offer. Thanks Jon
  16. I agree, tastefully done and still priced fair. I remember seeing this on ebay I believe, maybe a year ago. Just dont remember if the car was in Illinois at that time or not.
  17. If anyone is interested, saw this on local Craigslist this morning. https://quadcities.craigslist.org/cto/5165510619.html
  18. UPDATE--- Well, it materialized quicker then Monday. Project car is sold and will be restored by the new owner someday. He is extremely knowledgeable and knows these cars inside out. The parts I didnt have acquired yet, he has, so that will keep his costs down. He will keep me in the loop as he progresses on the restoration over the next few years. Someday I will get another classic Stang, but for now going to enjoy driving the 2012 GT and the best part is I just have to wash it, not build it ! I appreciate everyones' help and comments on this site. I have been a Mustang hobbyist for all my life and a member of other Mustang sites as well. A common thread is the passion we share for these cars. I am glad this Boss 351 was not parted out. It was rough but not that bad for restoration. Seen a hell of a lot worse Stangs over the decades. If I find one that I can't bring back to life, I try to get it to someone who can. That is the case for this Boss 351. Anyway, Thanks again.
  19. Hi, I didnt post anything, as I stated in the one paragraph- "Make requests via email or p.m. and will get whatever info / pics you need and you can make offers on what you are wanting." That way I will be certain to get pics of what you are interested in, give you a pretty exact description of condition, and save taking up room on the post sections. Thanks Jon FYI- Will be putting this up for auction starting this weekend. There has been no interest from my listing here and I need to see it off to a new owner. The car is worth saving and restoring it. Marti report states that it is 1 of 4 with the paint and trim codes. (Dark green metallic -code C with white seats code 5W). Well anyway, I hope someone restores it. (And I tried to upload some pics to this post via Tinypic but nothing ever shows up, even though it says it went through onto the site) Ok, Thanks for the help on the upload. I got one pic to take but the other ones, after downloading is over- this message comes up. Error 503 Service Unavailable Service Unavailable Guru Meditation: XID: 310339823 Varnish cache server Anyway, here is the one pic that down loaded. Right rear quarter was "accordion--ed" when they kept taking a tractor and bumping the car out of the way of the barn door entrance.

  21. Project is back on the market ! Read prior posts to get caught up. Feel free to contact me. Thanks Jon [/quot +++It appears that there is no interest in buying this Boss project as a whole, so I will start parting it out. If you need something let me know. (Will want to sell the vin matching engine , title, vin plate and dash piece with the rolling shell- to keep those together). All the other parts will be up for sale. I am not planning on sitting with this through another winter and paying storage fees. Make requests via email or p.m. and will get whatever info / pics you need and you can make offers on what you are wanting. Sorry to have to do it this way, I am a hobbyist and like to restore these cars, but this one seems to have me snake bit in trying to sell it whole, and if parting it out will help others with their restoration, then that's fine too. Thanks Jon
