  1. Thanks for the info on this! I have had the same issue, sometimes mine does park and sometimes not. I’m probably having the same problem, and they don’t get used very often either.
  2. Ok Chris, good luck with getting it sorted out. Well, ya I guess you can say that. It really gets up and goes! It just made sense to me to put them in. Actually it was supposed to be set up from where I bought the carb new with them but it wasn’t.
  3. Ok I was wrong on a couple things, of course lol. Anyway I have 72s in the primaries and 81s w/ jet extensions in the secondaries. Went up a few sizes from the way it was new. I have a 6.0 power valve, not 6.5. It was originally supposed to be set up with a 6.0, but whoever set my carb up wasn’t wearing their glasses and put in a 5.0! The pump cam is pink and I have it in position #1. I have the secondary opening spring 7/8 open from seated.
  4. I have a QF 735 VS on my 351C and it runs very strong, no bogs at any speed. I have a 6.5 power jet with the stock squirters and upped the jets a few sizes. It spins the tires easily from a dead start with no brake and if I floor it from a 35-40 roll it breaks the tires no problem. I have to be careful not to go sideways cause of the posi. I’m .040 over with flat top pistons, blue thunder intake, 71 closed chamber heads with 10.3:1 compression. Cam is Crower Power Beast 292/302. Pretty close but I guess I have a little more cam than yours. I have a c6 auto with Trans-Go shift kit, 2500-2800 stall converter and 3.50 gears. l’ll have to get back with you tomorrow and I can tell you exactly what jets I have in, my notes are out in garage. I think I have 74s in the front and 78s in the rear? I’ll let you know for sure tomorrow. Now that I think about it, I had that same cam in my engine before I had it rebuilt. It seemed to fall flat on its face at 5000 rpms, just had nothing up top. Even had the same 770 carb for awhile, then I switched to the Quick Fuel. The QFT definitely was better than the Street Avenger, but it still died off fast. The Comp 270h cam is a single pattern cam and Cleveland’s like a dual pattern.

  6. I just got a new S&W 357 and ammo sure is scarce and expensive!
  7. Hi J, thanks. I actually bought this car cause I liked the yellow so much. Plus it’s a numbers matching Q code car. Anyway, the yellow color is a custom mix. I bought the car painted this way, but I did have some body work done after some front end damage. They matched the yellow perfect. I took the car to a place near Saginaw called Mustang Craftsman. The owners name is Paul Beard, really great guy. They did a Rees nice job on the repairs that I needed. Their phone number is (989)860-3948.
  8. Yes, I mean the fan clutch shaft. I have a 1/2”spacer added and the front of the clutch is about 2/12” from the radiator.
  9. Geoff, If you still need any other info on this I put one one my car. I remember there being two different lengths for the fan. Pretty sure I used the shorter one with a 3/4” spacer. I do have a 3 row rad. I found a couple pics.
  10. I didn’t cut anything. I used the links that came with the new bar, which are exactly the same as the ones that came with the original bar. I’m just saying that they could definitely be shorter.
  11. The end links come with the new bar. I don’t think you can get just the bar only. They are the same as the ones that came with the original bar from addco. I think that the spacer is to long. Forgot my dimensions of what it was, but I think they could be a good inch shorter. I told them about this, but I don’t know if they changed anything. I doubt it though. I still have those on my car and everything seems ok.
  12. Here’s a pic of my 72 Mach 1. This is the original 9”.
  13. This snow is making me dizzy! Not a fan. I live in Michigan and see enough of this as it is. I do really like the Christmas lights and how we can break them! And if you break enough of them the all magically reappear and you can break them all over again, very cool.
  14. Hello and Welcome from Michigan. If that car is at a Gateway dealership, then make sure you go look at it in person and ask lots of questions. Then ask the guys on here more questions and it. They are known for slapping lipstick on a pig. In other words they don’t really know much about the 71-73 Mustangs. Good luck with your search.!
  15. I had mine replaced after my accident by a shop, but the engine was out. It already had some damage and I’m sure glad I had it done. I’m sure you can get a shop that knows what they are doing to replace it.
  16. They must be thinking it’s like a Boss 429, which are way overpriced too.
  17. Well, I certainly got a much needed good laugh from that! Lol 😂
  18. If you are replacing the fuel lines, then you might as well replace the entire fuel system. Replace everything all at once this winter. Why not, right? I would do the same, but all my stuff has been replaced, so easier said then done huh? Actually I have to replace my line from the pump to the carb.
  19. I have all the flaring and bending tools to do it. Thanks again
  20. Hello and Welcome from Michigan. That’s a great looking car!
  21. Thanks Geoff! I knew you had some pics of how you did yours and I am planning on about the same. Also appreciate the info on the length of how much line to get. Saves me from figuring out a few things. Thanks again 👍
  22. I got the Carter fuel pump last week and the pump arm seems to be ok. It has very little play in both directions like it should and the secondary return spring is good too. Haven’t had a chance to install it yet, very busy with work. Can’t drive it now anyway cause of the weather, so after things calm down in a couple weeks I’ll be able to get it in. Plus I’ve been wanting to redo my fuel line with a new custom bent steel line from the pump to the carb. Perfect little winter project.
  23. I got both calendars and I also ordered a coffee mug. They arrived here yesterday. They are very nice and I really like the large calendar. Thanks again to Rocketfoot for putting this all together!
