    You're welcome! :D

I know what you mean though. I have $1200 I need to spend on dental work...money that is better spent on the stang, in my opinion. >:(

I know what you mean, that is coming for me also soon. the job right now is replacing both upper and lower ball joints on my 2000 F-350 dually 7.3 turbo diesel 4X4. took 2 days just to get the lt side hub off. it is all very big and very rusted and does not want to come apart!!!! I just hope the rt side goes better!!! then I have to put a new engine in my 1999 contour sport.

  4. That's what I did, my hole engine and tranny is off one step above the 351 HO cam + They did me real good!! now I have the engine on a run stand but not in the car yet. But wow does it sound strong!!!!! Call them!!!!!

I guess I should put a pic or video of my engine on here????

  5. Maybe this is controversial, maybe not. Anyway, I was a skeptic and still am. My 17 year old son & his buddies in HS have made 2 HHO (Brown's gas) generators out of pickle jars, installed them on a Toyota Camry and a 1989 Ford F150. Both vehicles are showing a remarkable increase in fuel economy. The hydrogen and oxygen is NOT used to fuel the cars nor could enough be created to do so. What it does do is makes the air fuel mixture ignite much faster thus making a cleaner, more efficient burn and leans out the mixture needed for the same amount of performance. More efficient burn = more mpgs.

Supposedly it works better on carbureted engines so I thought I'd start a discussion on here if anyone wanted to play with it. I'm going to make one for my diesel excursion since that is my biggest fuel bill and I'm going to make one on the cheap...but not pickle jar cheap like the high schoolers. I'm going to use a 4" PVC pipe with a screw cap on one end to refill with distilled water some thin stainless steel plates separated by plastic bolts, washers and nuts then pipe the HHO gas into my intake. If I blow up, you already know what happened to me. LOL

Here are a couple of threads for background info. Whatever you do, don't buy a setup from anyone on the internet. Make your own.

If you think this is crazy, me too but I'll only be out a few bucks and can say I tried it. I'll let you know how it works out if anyone is interested.

    .

how about we work together on this. all S Steel and no pvc. you tell me what you need and I will weld it together. what do you think??

  6. that´s great Steven... I´ll try to do it this way first and then we keep exchanging ideas...

Maybe wa end up "designing" both tools... One like this cheap one and another one, a pressure one that we can make it ourselves too... It it not too difficult neither expensive to build a pressure sandblaster.

Steve is 100% right about using it!! That is what I did first before I used the tank I showed you. I am also going to build a pressure system, just make sure you use a PRESSURE TANK not just a tank, when a tank explodes it is not a good thing!!!!!!!! I am going to use and old but good 30 gallon air tank to make mine.

  7. I tried sealing the trim to the windshield with silicone too. I guess I didn't use enough!

I guess I will find out about the trim seal when I replace my windshield after I pitted mine from sand blasting the engine bay and the cover blew off...... That sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. I have been to other sites, like for my 99 contour sport and my f-350 diesel. They are ok but I was not getting very good feed back from them for questions I had. My Son has a 2007 Chevy colbolt SS and I told him to look for a site for them and they will not give him any good info, it is like they do not want to give there secrets away so some one else can have a good running car.

This site is by far the best!!!! You have the guys that have been fixing these cars for many years and guys that have just started and add Trix that worked for them. People will go out of there way and on line to get you the info you need to help you. The bottom line here IS that every one here wants the next guy that is working on there car to win and not make the mistakes they made!!!

I Thank every one here!!!!!!!!! This is what it should be!!!!

    Thank you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you say, "You", doc, remember that you're lookin' in a mirror. :P But I know what you're sayin'. I saw it and felt it when I stopped by last August, and that's why I'm still here. Good post!

    Doc

    thank you!!!!

  9. Great docweld! that was just the kind of tool i was planning in my head... It´s cheap as hell and maybe, if you are not sandblasting bondo and firm paint, it can work ok... what do you think?...

Is it too much mess to work with the sand at open sky??... Do i need to tell the neighbours we are NOT on the beach?? jeje

    Thanks again!!

Scott... that´s a great tool! unfortunatly i dont have access to this particular tool or any other great products and tools you do have over there...

But is this one work, for instance if you want at least, to clean a difficult to access corner that you cant clean another way? Maybe it is just a sandblast gun that works spot by spot..

It will take the paint and bondo off it just takes some time. It is messy, the next time I do it I will put plastic under the car to catch the sand. then you can just sift it and use it again.

now WARNING!!!!! make sure every thing is covered VERY WELL for the sand like the windshield!!! I taped a blanket on my winshield but the wind blew it off while I was blasting part of the engine bay and when I stoped and looked I found pits all over my shield. Yes I will have to get a new one!!!

also it will work on just small spots too, but Scott's would be better for spots and there is no mess!!!
