  1. I need the short duct (plenum) that connects the passenger side vent to the fresh air assembly. This is the piece that runs next to the glove box. Can anyone help? Thanks, Don

  4. I stuck pretty close to the diagram that Ray posted and it turned out nice.
  5. Try loosening the 2 bolts that hold the ignition switch to the top side of the column (at then end of the rod). There's room to move the switch up and down the column. Try adjusting it there.
  6. My open 3:00 9" was leaking at the pinion seal. I figured it was a good time to switch over to a 3:50 posi. I tried to keep costs down, so I bought used ring and pinion gears and a rebuilt traction loc. Since I needed a shop to press on the new pinion bearing, I had them do axle bearings. Plus the bearing/gasket kit. Plus the lube and friction modifier. Plus, plus, plus... So much for keeping costs down - LOL! It was an expensive endeavor! The whole job was an expensive PIA, but I love the new gears!

  8. Tough to tell paint and body in photos, but... Around here, that would be a 13K car. More or less. Even with the wrong motor, seats, hood paint, etc.
  9. I like them both, and have had both on my car, but ultimately decided to go hockey stripes - I thought they looked better with the Boss 351 style hood paint. However, I really don't care for the black rocker paint as it makes the car look like it's too "skinny" in my opinion. So, I found a neat way to tie the hockey stripes into the chin spoiler. It's probably been done before, but I dig it. I have great respect for those the keep their cars original, but I need to express my creativity. ::thumb::

  11. Are all the lights non-functioning? Or just around the tach? It doesn't look like there are many lights on the tach side. I see the brake light and maybe 1-2 more. These lights are SO dim already, perhaps you couldn't tell if they are working or not?

  15. I bought a new neutral safety switch for a C6 only to discover I need a NSS for a FMX. I can't return it because "no returns on electronics". $85 and I'll pay for shipping. Or... I'll gladly swap for an FMX neutral safety switch. I can email pics if you want them Thanks, Don

  17. Great stuff, thanks! I wonder if the floor shifter from my C6 is the same as one from an FMX? If so, perhaps I can add an FMX neutral safety switch to it...
  18. You're right, I decoded the casting numbers to tell me it's a 1977 (or a bit later) C6 from a van. I've been told that these trannys are a bit stronger than the original would have been. The problem is, any neutral safety switch that mounts over the shifter linkage must have some kind of notch to index the switch. Mine, unfortunately, has no notches at all.
