  1. I'm certainly no expert, but everything I've read says that Offy was a dud. The stock cast iron manifold was better I guess.
  2. I'm thinking about changing my '73 Mach 1 stripes to hockey sticks since my car has a '71 front end. I've already committed to blacking out the hood like a Boss 351. I can't decide if hockey stick stripes would look good without the rocker panels painted black. What do you all think? Does anyone have pics of cars with hockey sticks but no rocker paint?
  3. I bought a fan and spacer for my Cleveland off eBay, but the seller didn't send me the spacer. :@ Of course, he won't answer emails either. So I'll try here... Does anyone have a fan spacer w/bolts they're willing to part with? 3" give or take. Thanks! Don
  4. Personally I think the 05-09 are the only "new" Mustangs that look right. The newest models are pretty cars, but they don't look like Mustangs imo.
  5. I bought the harness. Thanks for the good deal, Jon. My 73 has a 71 front end. Parking lights, sport lamps and all. I'm going to see if I can make this harness work. Not sure what the carb solenoid stuff is. Lol! If that's the alternator harness, I see they make new, aftermarket ones.
  6. If this wiring stuff is the same for a 1973 Mach 1 w/tach, I'd be interested...
  7. I love those great photos! Thanks for posting!
  8. Thanks for the replies and welcomes! What a great site! Yes, the project started out as a Boss 351 tribute. 1971 front end and a smoothed out gas panel. But I haven't committed to the blacked-out hood/tail paint scheme. Plus, I prefer the 1973 side stripes. (I respect original restorations, but I'll make this what "I" want.) I guess I need to get a manual. Clymer or Haynes or ?? I'd love to learn more about this Painless wiring....
  9. While this isn't my first classic Mustang, it's my first in almost 20 years. I'm trying to "finish" a '73 q-code Mach 1. It's a project for sure. The electrical systems are the most scary part of the project. Hopefully I'll be able to find someone to guide me. Anyway, I'll try to post a photo...
