  1. Man i hope not, but bought thru summit, so you hope its the real deal. Damm counterfeiters'. Thanks for the link.
  2. Big Red mach thats a solid plan, best bang for your buck you can do. If you need a rev limiter or multiple spark at idle you can always upgrade to a cd box later.
  3. David the msd boxes were all usa made , at a premium price the only reason their made in cornaville is for larger profits not a better or cheaper product.
  4. Msd boxes were the cats meow, but recently they are all made in china.
  5. Yes most likely, here is formula that will get you close. Drive gear teeth X axle ratio X tire revolution per mile divide by 1001 = driven gear. An example most trans drive teeth are 6,7,8. Here is my 73 7x3.70= 25.9 25.9 x721.9=18697 18697 divided by 1001=18.69 round it up and your at 19 tooth driven gear. Use this site to help determine revolution per mile depending on your tire size. https://tiresize.com/calculator/ Hopefully somebody has a shorter way of doing this and will share it here, its just what i use.
  6. I would say no , but i use this https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sdk-c4dz-12043-s, if i do use stock ones and there loose i just cut some smaller diameter vacuum hose and use that fill the gap in the coil mount.
  7. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/msd-8869 https://www.summitracing.com/parts/tay-401001 https://www.summitracing.com/parts/tay-718222 Here is an option that i run on a few cars. Taylor has a better box and is US made, their coils work well too.
  8. +1 on the Hookers. Have them coated if you want them to last. Are you talking headers or hookers in general.
  9. I like these, work well. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/pwm-7078
  10. Hopefully they work good for you, there a nice heavy built set. I use the trans mounts with no problems.
  11. Well to be fair mine was a 70 cougar with a 4V 351C, just figured they would close on all 351C. I had to hack 1/2 of an inch on mine. I ended up switching them to some premium stock types.
  12. If your running headers dont get these, they need grinding to get them to fit.
  13. Why not run a bigger capacity pan? Is your motor making that much power you need to?, just asking why.
  14. Probably your best bet is going thru these guys for a fiberglass 1, the abs repos are junk because they are so thin . I think the 70 and 71 torino 429 shroud is the same as the 71 mustang. https://www.critesperformanceparts.com/page4 Scroll down the page aways and its listed as a 70-71 torino , i have 2 and they are great quality, just had to wait awhile to get them made.
  15. Get a custom camshaft, a 351C is different animal. Call Brent is a ford guy and does a lot of 351C stuff. https://lykinsmotorsports.com/products
  16. See if this helps out. https://www.pure-gas.org/extensions/maps.jsp?statecode=PA
  17. But if your running a cdi box they dont work do they?
  18. Well being that its a rare car send it to Dan at chockostang and he will rebuild it and send it back to you. http://www.chockostangclassicmustang.com/rebuildingservices.html
  19. Here are some interesting videos on stock strut rods vs adjustable rods, wow cant believe how much movement they have.
  20. I know a lot of kits are geared that way and it does lower the center of gravity but the mount for the lca is way lighter metal than your shock towers. The freakride kit gives the best of both worlds. I havent talked to anybody with the coilover kit on their car so its just my 1st opinion on it.
  21. The only thing about most coil over kits is the weight gets carried by the lower control arm , here is another kit that some people like well. https://www.freakride.com/product/all-front-coil-over-conversion-systems/
  22. I run this kit along with roller perches http://www.streetortrack.com/Street-or-Track-Tubular-Front-End-System-pr-24480.html Best roller perches i have tried https://www.ebay.com/itm/65-73-Mustang-Roller-Bearing-Spring-Perches/254289466444?hash=item3b34d5544c:g:YhgAAOSw14xWJad4 I run these springs https://www.summitracing.com/search/product-line/global-west-suspension-coil-springs/year/1970/make/ford/model/mustang/part-type/lowering-springs?fr=part-type&SortBy=Default&SortOrder=Default I adjust height with these https://www.summitracing.com/search/brand/global-west-suspension/year/1970/make/ford/model/mustang/part-type/coil-spring-spacers?N=part-type%3Acoil-spring-spacers&SortBy=Default&SortOrder=Ascending I end up with a firm ride but not harsh, this what i do, there a ton of choices out there good luck.
  23. These guys have some cool stuff. https://www.ebay.com/str/performanceusa310/351-Cleveland/_i.html?_storecat=34224170016
