  1. What color is that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks Don. I did see this post but I guess I missed the part about the spring perches, pinion angles and shock mounts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thinking about making this swap. I’ve searched and haven’t been able to find exactly what it’s going to take. I’m sure someone has done this. It looks like the 8.8” is like 1 3/4” narrower. Couldn’t find the difference in spring mounts , I believe the springs mount on top of the axle on a explore. How does that effect Height? I know the yoke is offset but it didn’t look like that would be a problem. Thanks in advance Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Anyone close to this to check it out?Was looking at the doors. I’m 3 hours away. Hoping to get and visual opinion of them. Message me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Not sure yet. I guess I’ll have to see what’s left after I swap out parts. You interested? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. After tearing my first 71 down I determined the shell was to bad and didn’t make sense to repair. So after a few years of looking, deals falling through, some my fault some others, I finally found a good donor. I’m making it what I want so I didn’t need numbers matching. Not perfect but don’t need to be Now the fun begins again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I have a 429 with a c6 trans attached. Out of a 71 thunderbird. Is the transmission the same length? And will it bolt right up to the cross member? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. That’s why I’m asking for input. I don’t think I can do a resto mod on a complete original car. May have to pass it on to someone who wants everything original. I just believe I have to keep it original Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. It’s a H code 351 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Pick it up this weekend I posted questions in the feedback forum looking for input. Thanks to all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Picking up this original car with everything in tact and body appears in great shape. My dilemma is do I restore it as original or make it what I want? I’ve been looking for awhile for a good donor shell and I came across this car. I kinda hate the thought of not keeping it as is because it is complete. I know there are pros and cons both ways. Just looking for some feed back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I checked in Marti's book and they made 2,377 H code with C-6 in 71. I think the 72 listing is another error in the book because he does not show the C-6 as a option on H code. Then in 73 he shows 6,305 H code with C-6. There are some odd ball ones each year that are one off due to the transmission. They made one Q code 73 with FMX that must have been some kind of test vehicle. There was only one 71 H code 4 speed built in all body styles. She said like 700 with that pretty green interior would have to check that out for myself though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. Would like to find one of those for 3000 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Is it a sin to take a mustang as original as this one and not restore it as is? Keeping the original color interior and exterior? As ugly as the interior is? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Thanks Carolina and Mister. I’m not really in a hurry. I have a 71 now but after tearing it down realized the shell although can be repaired, was not cost affective to repair so I got burnt on that one so I’m reluctant to buy anything that’s complete without assuming it will need floors, trunk, quarters maybe cowl. I do have a great offer on a rolling shell from a member here who is a great guy, and I would love to jump on it. I’m just in the middle of moving wife’s new job and I work out of town. So the timing isn’t the best. I found this one and thought it was at least looking into. It seems to be more of a base model which is ok but has a lot of good parts I need anyway, doors, hood, grill, trunk,I’m not looking to restore to original but want it to look like I could show it when finished. I always have to restrain myself from buying every one I look at lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Thanks for all the input. I’m certainly cautious because of the unknowns that always pop up. I’m sure it will need a quarter and battery tray at best. Still kinda surprised by the condition of the 45 year old lady. That photo of the rear quarter and battery tray were the worst I found. I was actually thinking $6500 myself, for the risk factor, which is below the asking price of 10k. Was hoping to get some reassurance like you’ve done. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Was told it just needs points and condenser I didn’t hear it run supposed to run and drive great other than that. Really think it just needs battery tray and found a hole in the radiator support. Have all original paperwork and am radio. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Looking for opinions on a value Appears all original in great shape I know there is always the unknown once tore apart Not sure if I’m posting in the right place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. That’s kind of what I’m afraid of. He only wants 2k for it though. Has good doors and new hood. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Ive been looking for a shell donor for my 71. I think I found one just a few concerns. Really only needs a drivers quarter. It’s had new complete shock tower aprons both sides cowl, and core support installed. My concern is how would I know it’s on straight without having everything put back on it? Any tips or other things to look for is appreciated. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
