  1. You might try a backout bit...but likely you will be drilling it out. Not as big deal to do that.
  2. Ok. I'm on hold for about a month. My soda blaster did not complete my Mach on time and I stumbled across a good find. 1965 coupe. I am doing a fast restoration on it for profit money to put into the Mach.
  3. Getting jerked around from my soda blaster (who I thought was a friend) and still no car. I hope to get it tomorrow without punching the guy out. So while driving around today I happened across a 65 coupe. It was a good buy so I picked it up. Will do a quick repaint, engine, interior and cleanup on it then sell for what I hope is some extra $$$ to put into my Mach. I think I have an addiction.
  4. I received an awesome model of a 73 Mach I. Every time I go to a store with models I look for one of these. Never found one before either. Thank you!!!
  5. Sounds like you have a bad case of "while I'm at it desease". I will try to stop by on Monday or Tuesday. If the weather is good I will get the old steed out and stretch her legs. I will let you know before hand. Eddie The weather is supposed to be perfect so you should have no problem with your steed coming out to play.
  6. English body supply in Duncanville has some nice PPG stuff that won't shrink and is top-of-the-line. Thats what I picked up on Friday. I forget the number but there are only 2 that they carry. Cheap stuff and this stuff...about $150 per gallon.
  7. Thank you. I assume that most donor cars would have rust in the same places but I guess it is my only option. Thanks. I'll be on the lookout for one.
  8. Holy schnikies!!! You never know what is under that layer of paint (or layerS of paint) until you get it soda blasted. There is more rust, bondo and fiberglass than I ever expected to see. I'll get pics when I get it home. Unbelievable. I have my work cut out for me.
  9. Does anyone know where to get good (non-rusted) 71-72 doors? Dallas Mustang does not carry for those years. They say that aftermarket doors are not made for our cars. What have y'all done to remedy the door rust issues?
  10. Trunk floor for a 72 Mach 1. I did find one though finally. This is the only floor I see for your year. http://www.cjponyparts.com/TRUNK-FLOOR-34%22-x-54%22-1971-1973/p/M438/ Glad you found something though. I called so many places. Maybe you had it but the truck freight was too costly perhaps. Anyone that had them in stock wanted to truck it which over-doubled the cost of the part.
  11. We should meet neighbor. I am officially in Talty and will be doing al of the bodywork over the next couple of weeks. You are welcome to come by. Would love to meet your car...oh, and you too. Been there. Thats a long haul. We live on 2578 across from the Wade arena.Meadow wood ranch.I would love to see your project.Maybe over the Christmas holidays.I need to get the old girl out and stretch her legs. Heck yeah. Get her out and let her run. I'm at I20/Hwy1641 (Winner's Circle) She looks sweet. Obviously not a stocker.
  12. I live between Terrell and Kaufman. We should meet neighbor. I am officially in Talty and will be doing al of the bodywork over the next couple of weeks. You are welcome to come by. Would love to meet your car...oh, and you too. Been there. Thats a long haul.
  13. What is it that you are looking for? Trunk floor for a 72 Mach 1. I did find one though finally.
  14. One here. East side over by Forney.
  15. Well I tried to order but you did not have the part I needed. Don't feel bad...most folks didn't have it or the truck freight made it too expensive. I'll be seeing you on other things later though as I am in early days of restoration.
  16. Welcome to the forum. I like your site. Looking forward to sending money to you. Any discounts for members here? (gotta ask, right?)
  17. Time to catch up. Mine went to the soda blaster last Wednesday. Body work starts next weekend. Yours is looking good. Not alot of rust spots...at least compared to mine. It shouldn't take you long to git er dun.
  18. My mature side wants to answer just like this and I could not have stated my thoughts any better. My IM-mature side just wants to say what the hell were they thinking?
  19. There's alot to be said for that but I really do not have the room for it and my HOA would not appreciate it sitting in my driveway.
  20. Welcome. Awesome cars you have there. Great job with that engine compartment.
  21. Here are some pics of its trip to blaster.
  22. What the heck. I'll give it a go. What do you need from me?
  23. Look for a swap meet or maybe even Craigslist or fleabay. Personally I'd move to headers. They will sound much better.
  24. Its funny. I originally was only going to do a partial resto, but as I started taking parts off I would notice something deeper that would cause me concern so I would take more off. That continued until I finally decided that I needed to do it all the way. Its gonna be expensive and take a long time, but it will be worth it in the end.
