  2. I assume this question was intended for me. It is 4F - Medium Lime Metallic. Medium Lime Metallic mmmmmm My original color is I Grabber Lime. Was trying to find a car with Grabber Lime so i could see what color mine was going to be. Your color & car look very very sharp. Thank You for sharing
  3. I am definately going to need sunvisors. Can you put a pair aside for me. I didn't realise the headliner was a world apart in price  I ordered and paid SMS now so its too late  I will definately run any other items i need by you before i order anything else in the future ::thumb::
  4. Just arrived today. Only paid $205 total import charges because WCCCC put smaller price on invoice :D Total price for this reconditioned tilt steering with the new actuator, actuator gear and pins with spring washers on the end to prevent the pins ever coming loose again $1252.40. Off to mechanic to get it fitted I have some new pins with spring washers coming for the old column. I will repair the old steering column and put it on Ebay and recoup my money paid out for reconditioned one. :D
  5. I am around 30 Minutes from Derby. Let me know next time you are coming.
  6. I was looking through the clasified on the site and seen a 3 spoke for $285. Looks like i got to keep looking for a green 2 spoke http://www.7173mustangs.com/thread-complete-working-rim-blow-steering-wheel
  7. Yep... I refuse to add up my bills to date for parts I have purchased for my restoration since I got the car less then one year ago. If I wasn't trying to do a factory original resto, I could save thousands... The cost of the door panel on your invoice has me wondering... is this for one panel? Seems a tad on the high side.I hope these are the décor interior panels... Cheers. The door panels seem pretty cheap when you see the headliner was 259.00 ??? I would question that one I wasn't going to say anything but that has been bugging me all day If you check out cjponyparts a pair of deluxe door panels is $391.99. So my pair at $750 is close to double. I think the headliner compared to other sellers is expensive now you have highlighted it but i will be sure it will be the right grain and color.
  8. Did the 3 spoke steering wheel come with Mach 1 only? If available on other models would it have been listed as a feature?
  9. Reproductions are like the early Fords. Henry Ford said you can have any color car you want as long as its black. I wish it were that easy. :shootself:
  10. MG are one one those manufacturers that are fortunate in getting concours acceptable parts. You may want to check out resale prices of MGA's outside the U.S. especially here in the U.K. You may want to consider bringing it up to good daily driver and selling here in the U.K. You get quite a few cars imported into Europe from America on this site; https://www.classic-trader.com/uk/cars This will give you some idea what American/European imports are selling for by dealers across Europe https://www.classic-trader.com/uk/cars/search?fulltext=mga This one may make you act ::thumb:: This wreck is $11,000 https://www.classic-trader.com/us/cars/listing/mg/mga/mga-1500/1957/45717

  12. Its coming together and looking good. Any more metalwork left to replace/repair?
  13. Its both panels and a special order, Deluxe door and green That's not a bad off shore price then... What color is your car in Pictures. Green or Lime?
  14. If there are any members out there that are considering restoring a British made classic car and you need someone to source parts here in the U.K. I would be more than happy to assist. Some British cars have new parts made here in the U.K. Then there are the ones that are recognised as concours acceptable parts which use the original tooling. The most well known are the E-Type Jaguar. I can buy a brand new body shell from a company 5 miles away and the metalwork is all done using original Jaguar tooling. I don't know what the U.S government charge for imports from the U.K. I could put a value on customs form that you wish if thats your preference and want to save money on import charges
  15. Hello and Welcome from U.K
  16. ::thumb:: Some fantastic cars. I did note most of the cars on the hard surface had a mat underneath to catch oil leaks. Why would you spend all that money getting them back to original and forget to yank the engine and solve the leaks
  17. Its not NOS. Doug at SMS knows i am doing Concourse and i am assuming he would not sell me windlace if it wasn't right for my needs. Will find out in around 8-9 weeks when it gets here.
  18. It only hurts at the point of payment. Then you forget the cost. Seeing it take shape definately heals the pain
  19. Yeah i already spoke with Ron at STS around a month ago. When i order everything for the exterior of the car i will contact Ron. The exterior is not going to cheap. All the chrome is being replaced and the grill, wiper arms, bumpers, badges, window surrounds hood and front fender chrome extensions, drip rail chrome, Vinyl roof chrome. I think there was more bits and it came to around $2,500 before shipping. I still need to spend around $1,500 on interior bits and i know the A/C needs refurb. I am hopefully going to get everything for interior shipped in one go from a vendor that will store everything as i get it then send it all off to Ron at STS

  21. If you did not yet order, why not check out TMI products at www.tmiproducts.com they make stuff ready made and the quality is very good. Just a thought and would save you some work and added expense. Geoff. SMS do the correct material for the deluxe seats and nobody makes 4R green deluxe door panels so the door panels are a special order.
  22. This is the cost of my interior from SMS. There's $450 on top for shipping. Then there's 25% of total for import charges, The last 2 items are material for my seats. So i still got to factor in the cost of seat foam and the cost of getting the seat covers made.
  23. ::thumb:: Hello & Welcome from the U.K
