  1. Yup, there goes Dave again.....smoking some funny stuff and trying to convince all of us that CS was a loser. Sell it somewhere else, will ya?? If you didn't read the topic, it says what is your dream car, not who is the biggest loser.
  2. Danoh, your inbox is full. I would like an R coded email. Cheers Rob
  3. Funny, I know the relatives of the widow. I was also trying to work a deal. Just too far away. Congrats!
  4. Could you post a few pics of your R codes? Particularly your 72. What is the VIN? Mine is 2F02R175496.
  5. Kit car?? Yea, uh NO!! 75 308 GTP. Now has a 4 cam V8 with turbo AND nitrous!! Built by the legendary Shelby engine builder/tuner/fabricator Gordon Chance aka "the teenage tuner" he did several modifications to the car. He says it would keep up with a GT40 now. I don't doubt it.
  6. Recently bought my all time dream car. ERA GT40 with a 408 small block with a ZF 5 speed.
  7. You mean one like this?? Not mine. But It belongs to a friend. image hosting
  8. Welcome from a former Phoenician? 21 years with the city of Phx. Now in the Pacific northwest!
  9. I did some digging in my stash and found 6 of the 10 pieces. PM me if you are interested.
  10. If you still need one, I have one stashed away somewherr
  11. I will take the rear valance. Do you have PayPal?
  12. It is a Tim Meyer alloy Cleveland. Not sure yet what the bore and stroke is, the C.I. will be 434 with custom pistons. Compression ratio will be 10.75:1. Projected horsepower will be 750ish. All roller valvetrain. When he gets closer I will post up more info. Can't wait!!
  13. All alloy Cleveland is cast, machined and ready to build! Gonna be a monster!!
  14. Hmmm, David could you post this "one more time"??? don't think you are emotional enough. Lighten up Frances! Maybe we can get someone to post a opinion based on facts not personal belief. You are however, entitled to your "opinion" and reading yours is entertaining but not true. Just something to put in your pipe and smoke. CS won the 59 Le Mans. Failure? Hardly! He did it with a serious heart condition, taking meds while racing. Failure or just one helluva tough guy?? Twice sports illustrated driver of the year. Failure?? CS brought us the cobra. (Yes, he used friends and racers to build it) this car endures today! Legendary performance! Failure?? He never intended to sell 50K cars a year. CS team brought us the GT350-GT500. NUFF SAID!! Ford still puts his name on their cars. IF HE WAS SUCH A FAILURE I DOUBT FORD WOULD DO THIS!! (Hello. McFly!!) This is just a few points. There is a much larger list but these should make my point. These are FACTS! So, I ask, what have you done with your life? Pretty bold of you to stand in mud and point fingers at the winners podium. Cheers!!
  15. Ummm, nice race cars but where is the relation to the 72 R codes??
  16. Nice car, but 95K? I would like to have it though...
  17. Yea, I am a member of the 429 site too. They have not seen or heard from it. Just curious if it is still around. It had a huge impact on me in those younger years. I will be watching for the black one when it crosses the podium!
  18. Back in the early 80's there was a black on white 429 Mach 1 sitting on the showroom floor of Mike Schmidt's dealership, Van Dyke motors in Trona Ca. He had $5995 on the windshield. Waayy to much money for a high school kid! Car was fully loaded, J code 429 4 speed, PB, PS, PW, tilt wheel, rim blow, instramentation group, folding rear seat, console, white mach 1 interior, A/C, spoilers, argent stripes. Just a gorgeous mach 1. Car survived a fire that burned the building to the ground. Last I saw of it, it sold on eBay and disappeared. Has anyone heard of it or seen it? Would love to know if it still exists.
  19. Perfect post to leave this here. I had a 73 mach 1 from Japan. I have this left over. Maybe someone can translate this while they are looking at yours?
