  1. Success! So, I worked on the grille and bumper adjustments this morning and I am happy to report a resounding success. Both the light bucket and bumper each needed some coaxing (via the jack and some brute force) and it's all lined up nicely now. Thanks for the support everyone! Regards, OAD
  2. Thanks for the insights everyone. I will give it a shot this afternoon. Really appreciate it! Regards, OAD
  3. Greetings All, Couple of quick questions for you all. I just installed a repro grille from CJ pony parts last night, but I noticed that the whole grille is a little bit off kilter. The gap between the hood and grille is not even on both sides. One side seems higher than the other. As the mounting points are set in the light bezels, is there a way to adjust this to look more even gapping on both sides? Second question. The passenger side of the bumper is lower than on the driver side. Again, I'm not seeing much in the way of adjustment for how it sets on the front of the car in relation to the fenders. Any thoughts on this? Having these set unevenly just annoys me... Thanks in advance! OAD
  4. Thanks Guys, At this point there are components missing from the AC system. Mainly the compressor is gone and I have a bunch of AC hoses that GNDN (goes nowhere, does nothing) I'm not sure what I want to do with it as it seems to me from the research I've done that these old AC systems can be a bear to get working again. Regards, OAD
  5. Greetings All, Thanks for the warm welcome! I know I'll be needing the wealth of knowledge here to get this beast back in action. Here are a couple of pics of Big Blue... Looking forward to being part of the community! Regards, OAD
  6. Greetings All, OAD here. I recently purchased a 73 Mach 1 and am presently in the process of putting it all back together again. I've been running into an issue with installing a new glove box. Everything I have read says that this should be an easy installation, but there is a large cylindrical motor that blocks half of the glove box area in my car. I am not certain if this is part of the AC or part of the heater system? I learned from reading previous posts on this board that non AC cars have vent adjustments under the dash, which my car has, but it also had an AC system at one time. Is it possible this was an aftermarket or dealer installed option? Any help would be greatly appreciated. [/img] Thanks in advance! OAD
  7. Greetings All, OAD here. I just joined the board the other day as I recently purchased a 73 Mach 1 that I am in the process of putting back together. As for me, I've been out of the mustang game for many years but recently let the madness take hold and bought the car over Memorial Day weekend. I've own 3 mustangs over the years including the current Mach 1. My first car was a 69 sport roof with a 351W and an fmx automatic. My second mustang was a 94 5.0 convertible and it's been some 12 years since I've been a mustang owner. The current car is a 73 Mach 1 351C 2v with what I believe to be an FMX automatic. It's presently in medium metallic blue and we are slowly getting her back in order. Looking forward to being part of the group here as I know I will need your info and expertise on these cars. Regards, OAD
