  1. The double-sided tape operation is a total no-go in Denmark. My solution is totally reversible. I tried to find a permanent solution that looked good and `original`. To me, it looks great. In real life...fantastic actually. I was surprised. I know about the Japan car......very nice too..... No worries....time for some cruisin`!
  2. Wow.......picky fellas in France........just like in Denmark! They would not accept the marker light as blinker.....they would not accept a small light near the marker light either. So, I decided on the above....it actually looks great in real life...real `mustangy`! I had to have a new vin plate welded into the frame in the engine compartment. No big deal........but those MOT fellas are real sticklers when it comes to these nice old cars.
  3. Another picture.......... Give me some opinions........thanks.
  4. Great catch! The turn signal light above the Mach1 is new. These signal lights had to be installed in order to pass MOT inspection. I tried to make it look as OE as possible. To me, it looks darn good actually! Spoiler is totally original.........as is the whole car..........except the lights!
  5. Hi Forum....for all you sharp-eyed car spotters..... What has been done?
  6. Hello Forum......my (friggin`amazing awesomely fantastical) 429cj was at pre-summer service recently. All was A-ok.......except the vacuum advance on the distributor. It needs to be replaced. Could someone point me in the direction towards a high quality part. I have have surfed a lot, but I am unable to make a final decision on the part. I think it needs to be `single port and adjustable`.......... I just dont want to buy the wrong part...... Thanks.
  7. Fabrice...on another note....post a pic of your 429! Here is mine at the MOT!
  8. Fabrice....thanks.....great numbers. I will use them, but the 1613kgs cant be the max weight. It must be higher. My car weighed in at 1690kgs.....empty. Official weight! The 'best' max weight I have seen is the GWVR on a 1972 which is 4441 lbs.......2014kgs or so. I will print out everything and give it to them. Incredible actually..........you would think they have this type of info on file.! I have to knock in a new VIN number too.....on the RIGHT tower. Just stupid. Rules for the sake of rules....baahhh
  9. Fabrice....great sites...bit still no MAX weight. NOT A T5...please post a picture of the metal plate. I will contact amustang Club of Denmark............
  10. I will use both the sticker info AND the metal plate info. Please send it when able. Thanks.
  11. There MUST be some specs somewhere....... For the 72/73 cars....is there anything in the owners manuals? If there is....please send a photo.... Thanks.
  12. Is there any info about this in the user/owners manual? I dont have an owners manual.......could someone check and post? Thanks....
  13. Mine has nothing on the door sticker. .........huh? See picture.....
  14. Hello Forum. I am in the (difficult) process og getting my car approved by the danish authorities. They need a 'gross vehicle weight rating' for the 429CJ/1971. This is the cars MAX weight. (I have the empty weight....the car was weighed here in Denmark) I just need some kind of official looking documentation for the above. Specs from a manual or Ford paper....just something where the max weight is indicated. The left door sticker does not have this info........neither the right door sticker with all the tire pressures. Where can I get this or see it? Any and all help/suggestions would be awesome. Please post a picture so I can use it. Thanks.
  15. Hi forum.......I need a manual for my 429/1971.......any ideas? Is it dowloadable from somewhere? Thanks...
  16. Awesome caves! Man....I need to win the lotto, so I can get my garage built. At the moment, my car is stashed at a friends converted barn....together with some other nice 'stablemates'. Here is a picture of what the garage will look like and where you have to IMAGINE it placed! Please....I am not a traitor to the forum.......just a project TA standing in for the 429cj/mach1!
  17. Ok...great info...thanks. I actually loosened both nuts, but I still couldnt get the bracket off. I will work with it. Afterall it MUST be able to come off. I will post a picture as soon as I am back with car.
  18. Hi guys...is there a special trick? I want to remove the battery from my 71/429, but I am finding it quite difficult. The big coolant pipe is in the way.....blocking the battery bracket nut. Any ideas?
  19. Mine took about 4 months! Yes, my car is canadian......I have a thread about it on the forum here somewhere.
