  1. I found the disconnect wire on the ac circuit. It was right above the fuse box junction. A real fun place to try and work one handed. It’s funny how good the ac works when all the wires are hooked up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks. I was able to look at another ac car. It is right above the fuse box junction right next to the blower Moyer resistor.
  3. Does anyone have a 73 ac wire harness that is not installed yet? I’m having an issue with ac clutch wire. I don’t remember if there is a connection between the firewall and the Deicing switch. Is the c-1006 connection under the dash somewhere? It’s a black wire wire With yellow hash marks I believe.
  4. John do you have a pic of what that steering wheel looks like from the underside between the column and the wheel? Mine is missing some type of trim on the backside I think. Tia Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Alright got the steering wheel dissected and this is what was under all the duct tape. It’s round stock 3/8”. Could the phenolic have been removed if there was any on there from the factory ? Does anyone have a two spoke steering wheel they might be interested in selling? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Has anyone redone the leather wrap on this wheel? What did you find behind the old leather? Mine had duct tape under the old leather. I don’t know if it was the original wrap or not. What was under yours? 73 mach1 deluxe interior Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I am replacing the switch with the key. How do you move the lower switch to get it in the correct position. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I am replacing the ignition switch on my 73 with a tilt column. I’m trying to insert the new switch and the pin is retracted with the pin retracted the triangle part on the ignition is 180 out from the piece in the column. Am I doing something wrong? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I have a 73 Mach 1 with 351c FMX trans. I was thinking an overflow tank but not sure. Any ideas? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Does anyone have the breakdown showing how the power steering is mounted on a 73 Mach 1 with AC? I have 3 studs that go on the ac bracket but I’m not sure if that’s what holds the power steering also. Any help or pictures would be awesome. Thanks Dennis Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Are you wanting one of these manifolds? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Me and my buddy figured it out. It goes down to the modulator valve on the transmission. Thanks for all the help. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Hemi where does that steel line route to? It looks like it’s bent to mount over the transmission but when it gets to the inner fender it don’t come out in a logical position to hook up to the canister. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks Carolina. Looks like your black canister just has a vacuum line on it connected at the firewall. The lines I’m talking about is the ones in this pic right under the3/8 vacuum line in the pic. It’s got the 90 degree coming up from the transmission Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. I have this steel double vacuum line I believe comes from the 4 port manifold on the firewall and to the soup can looking reservoir on the inner fender. I can’t figure out how to route it. Does anyone have a picture of one routed? Thanks in advance Dennis Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. I’m trying to figure out which mounts I have. I’m pretty sure they are 73 mounts but I don’t know if they are vert or hard top. I have a 73 mach1 with 351c and automatic trans. The first pic is the mounts that came on the car when I took it apart (don’t mind the piece of rubber I just put it in there to take up space it needs rebuilt). The primered one is the replacement for one but as you can see the hole that bolts to the frame side is taller and it has a “R” stamped on the ear. Is the primered one the vert mount or could the other one be? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Sorry here is pic 4 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Couple of under dash wiring questions. I have a 73. Mach1 with power windows and a/c. It also has. Factory tach. I’m having trouble figuring out where a couple of wire go. The first two pictures are wired that come from both kick panels. I’m pretty sure thy have something to do with the power windows but I don’t know where this plugs into under the dash. The next picture has I believe four wires coming into it. It’s located towards the center of the dash. The last picture with the green connector could this be for a factory radio? It has a black bullet female connector right next to it could that be a ground for a radio? Sorry for all the questions but I took this apart about 2 years ago and I’ve scoured the wiring diagram and can’t find where they go. Thanks in advance for any help. 19. What did you paint those manifolds with? Also is the harmonic balancer supposed to be black? Looks awesome. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. Thank you. I appreciate it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Is there a resistor between the battery and the coil on a 351 cleveland? Its been rebuilt and I’m getting ready to run it on a stand to break it in. Just don’t know if it can be straight 12 volts or if it needs a resistor. It don’t show one on the wiring diagram. Right now it’s just set up to run the stock points and condenser. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Can any one tell what these wires go? The first three are from the drivers side and the last one is from the passenger side kick panel. It’s a 73 mach1 with electric windows. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks. I didn’t think so but better to be safe than sorry. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. I’m reinstalling the ac heater box and wiring. The wiring for the thermostatic switch ( deicing) is a green wire and a black wire with white dashes. Does it matter which terminal on the switch? The wires are circled in blue. Any help is greatly appreciated. I accidentally put this same question in the electronic forum if an admin could delete that one I would appreciate it.
