  1. are the seat belts the three point or just lap?
  2. i looked at this one when I was looking for one for hubby. the guys in here noticed a lot wrong with it.
  3. that would be great if you could share the name. no menards here, but I'm sure I could order online somewhere.
  4. so tim was talking to the local body shop. And they suggested screwing/rivoting in the floor pans and using a metal grade epoxy to make the "weld". I can't imagine this is the same or better than welding. Has anyone ever done this and is it safe? Will it pass inspection, etc.... (I don't think this is a good idea. I think welding is the way to go). Just trying to convince Tim that it's a structural floor, so should be one piece (i.e. weld it in). question 2.. what sound deadener/heat padding do you guys use in the floor prior to laying the carpeting. Looking for suggestions of what you guys like and use. We are almost ready to install the first floor pan. Tim is doing one at a time so that the second one is hopefully easier than the first. We do have access to a MIG welder.
  5. I just pulled a nice ginger full console out of a car last weekend and also have front seats, and tracks if you would like. Not sure how far you are from New Alexandria, PA, but I am heading out there on Saturday to pick up a car and could bring the items with me (no charge) if it is close to you. The console is $350, Seat Tracks are $100 (both seats), and front Seats are $80 for the pair. Props to motorcity mike.. Tim met up with him today for the parts.. awesome and apparently I now need don's help at OMS.. thanks for bringing the parts out, we appreciate it...
  6. Thanks Don. Will look those up. I saw that you had the cowl as well. That will be the next big purchase.

  9. does your old one work and are you selling it. lol..
  10. there is a long console on craigslist for 200 with clock, but the guy won't ship. And I can't remember where he is, but he is far from here. Found usable seats in Columbus ohio... worth a 5 hour drive for 200??
  11. I figured I'd start with you guys. Here is what we know we need so far mach 1 grill (guy painted the grill very poorly that is in this one, so we figured go ahead and remove it and put the one we want in) Long center console 2 front seats and tracks will need 2 doors at some point. seat belts (front, 3 point) (the previous owner put in some very bad seats and five point harness) rear seat belts are still in good shape. this is just the start of our list. We are trying to get her driveable by summer so doors/console/grill etc can wait. but need the seats and belts to make her road worthy. lol.
  12. thanks guys. we decided to pass. hubby is hell bent on a 351. I say, let's make the 302 purr like a kitten. lol. Oh the joys of spousery and owning a mustang. lol. I know it's his car, but I think it would be more beneficial to spend the money on getting the 302 in tip top shape then spending it on this. He wants to make it a mach 1, so he's looking for a grill, seats, tach gauges, all the stuff we thought this car might have. but. in the end the guy said a lot of the stuff isn't usable.
  13. found it on craigslist. a little more than I want to spend, but nice engine. :-)
  14. eyeing up the engine and transmission in this one. Is it worth it for a parts car? (hoping center gauges, console, grill, and seats can all be used with some work). https://columbus.craigslist.org/pts/6004160676.html
  15. Hey guy, Central PA too... Outside of Altoona. I'm restoring a 1971 Mach-1 that is currently at a garage in Blandburg. Welcome! We are in Philipsburg. Once they are done we will have to get them together. Lol. She's up on Jacks right now contemplating cutting out the floor pans. New ones are sitting there, just haven't made the first cut yet. Lol
