  1. I have driven several hours to look at what others say is nice.....only to get disappointed. My wife has had her fill with that so I will travel if I get a lot of information and pictures, and a good deal helps too. Thanks for everyone's help, and I'm a cash buyer when I find it. SLO-RIDE
  2. Well thanks for the replies guys. As far as me coming to Lincoln Nebraska to look......that's 1160 miles. Thank you but that's a bit too far. As for the 73 Mach 1, I would need a price and some conversation with you to move forward. A 12000 mile 1973 car is amazing and unheard of these days. Feel free to contact me at my personal email if you choose. 1brian1lisa@gmail.com and we can go from there. Thanks again.......Brian AKA SLO-RIDE
  3. I'm still searching for a clean Mach 1, preferably a stick car. I will consider an automatic if it's an eye catcher. I'm in central PA and willing to travel a few hundred miles for a good car. PM me if you have one for sale and we can talk. (NO PROJECTS) Thanks SLO-RIDE
  4. It's not my car, but someone on the site was looking for one of the 72 R code cars a while back. I don't remember who, but I thought I'd try to help someone out. Good luck. https://www.ebay.com/itm/392960694360
  5. I'm looking for a 71 or 72 Mach 1. It must be clean, solid and not a patched up ride, It must be a finished car and ready to go. Also, manual trans is a must, AC would be great, but not necessary. NO PROJECTS. I'm in central PA and will travel a few hundred miles for the right car. Would also consider earlier Mustangs with the same qualifications Message me if you have something. Thanks, SLO-RIDE aka Brian
  6. WOW!!!.....that's a nice Mustang. There is a lot of red there, but it looks great.😍
  7. Thanks to everyone that gave some input on this thread as well as the PM's. It's good input that helps each other make better choices. I think I will pass on this Mach 1 in hopes to find another. My hope is to find one with a 351, 4 spd., and AC would be great. It also must be a clean finished ride. Take care everyone. :thankyouyellow:
  8. I don't think it's a scam. I've talked to him by phone and email. He sent me the marti-report, and was willing to have me come see the car. The red flag for me is it hasn't sold in nearly a year......he dropped the price a bit, but still should have sold if it really looks as good as the pics. I like to color, the options....just being cautious.
  9. I should also add, this guy has been trying to sell this Mach 1 since last summer. That raises a red flag to me.
  10. The pics that he posted in the ad are from when he bought the car. He wouldn't take new pictures and send them to me. The car looks good in the pics, but we've all see nice pictures that don't show the bad. That's why I was looking for a knowledgeable person to look it over without traveling 800+ miles.
  11. Yes, it's green and a Q code. Do you know the car?
  12. Hey guys and gals, I found what looks like a nice 72 Mach 1. The problem is I don't want to drag a trailer 400 miles each way to look at it and be disappointed. Is there anyone that really knows these cars, that is close to Kingston, NH? I would be willing to comp you for your efforts. Please feel free to message me and include a phone number and we can talk about the car. Thanks for your help.......SLO-RIDE
  13. I will be going to that sale. Not to buy that BOSS, my pockets are not that large. If nobody else shows up, I have a chance lollerz
  14. Where is the best place to get a stencil to layout the proper hood paint and stripes on a 72 Mach 1? I've seen so many that were not correct, and it stick out like a sore thumb. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks, SLO-RIDE AKA Brian
  15. Hey, I'm glad someone picked this Mach 1 up. The previous owner seemed to be a good guy, and I wanted the car but life got in the way. Enjoy the ride, and enjoy the great members that are here to give advice and knowledge. *Today's thought* "there are 3 kinds of people in the world, those who can count and those that can't."
  16. Only a guess as to the difference in the licence plates. This guy has 5 classic Muscle Cars, he may swap out the tags........again, only guessing. When he sent me several other pictures I requested, his garage was full of very nice cars.
  17. I found this and was going to buy it. We have an agreed price ($28K) and I was going to buy. However today when my wife came home from work she told me her job is going to be eliminated. With that said I will not be spending the money for a toy. I will email the owner and inform him tomorrow. All of the pics he sent me show a very nice well restored Mach 1. If anyone is looking to buy, this car is worth looking into. https://dayton.craigslist.org/cto/d/minster-1971-mustang-mach-1/6790061167.html I don't know the owner personally, All I know is he owns a Tool & Stamping business and seems to be ready to sell.
  18. I asked for pics of the VIN and title, and he sent me the VIN and som interior pics......the VIN tag on the dash shows "R" but he say he has "no title" and he said "Better grab it cuz it won't last at this price". Yeah, OK
  19. I'm happy you found the post and then bought the car. This site is great for one car lover helping another. Enjoy
  20. It's not every day we see these, so if anyone is looking check it out. I'm not sure of the condition or anything else. I just found it and wanted to pass it along. https://rochester.craigslist.org/cto/d/rare-1972-mustang-sprint/6765956988.html
  21. If you are still looking, try the search engine "search tempest". Use the tool bar on the left side of the page and narrow your search down to the make, model, and years you are looking for. At the top of the page enter a key word "Mach" and it searches all craigslist adds within a radius of miles when you enter the distance you are willing to travel. I use it every day......sometimes twice a day. It's a great tool if you are looking for a particular item. Use all the drop downs to narrow the search. Good Luck!
  22. A big thanks for all of the input and free knowledge that was given. I talked to the owner, and he is certain that this car is all original.........Anything I questioned, he said it could have been a special order when built. :shootself: I said "what's the bottom line?" his reply was $27500. He still has it. lollerz Thanks again to everyone
  23. THANKS.........I appreciate the feedback.
  24. Hello, and welcome from Pennsylvania. There are a lot of great people here, and free information that never ends.
  25. So did all 71 "M" code ram air mach 1's have hood pins ? The owner told me the hood fits close on the passenger fender, and needed adjustment. Also the weather strip where the door meets the hinge area on the drivers side is distorted in the picture. Is that weather stripping a pain to replace? Again, I want to thank you all for the knowledge you have and the willingness to share it. That's what makes this forum so great.
