  1. I was in Myrtle Beach this past weekend for a golf trip, and spotted your car. We had arrived early needing to kill some time, and came across the car show at Broadway on the Beach.
  2. Have you tried contacting the seller from that eBay listing http://www.ebay.com/itm/291886949904,? boss460mustang After I found an old listing of my 72 on eBay, I contacted that seller and they were happy to give me more info about mine. Even if he sold it, he'll probably still have contact info for that person.
  3. Looks like that is a full size cap, which is much bigger than the smaller twist-on type that goes inside the pop-off cap.
  4. I have this one - http://www.virginiaclassicmustang.com/71-73-POP-OFF-GAS-CAP-ALSO-WILL-FIT-65-66-MODEL-P2288.aspx Came with this style of inner twist-off cap - https://www.npdlink.com/store/products/gas_cap_replacement_style_vented-106679-1.html I haven't found an inner twist-off cap with those slots that fits. Tried a few at NAPA, but only had one that was very close, but was just a little too small.
  5. What size hex key do I need to remove the shifter knob? I've tried 3/32'', but it doesn't work.
  6. My '72 351C H code has an Edelbrock 1406 4V carb and a 2V intake (D1AE-9425-DA). What are the long-term effects of this setup? Should I consider swapping to an Edelbrock 2750 intake, or something else?
  7. Carolina_Mountain_Mustangs and I met a few weeks ago. Live about 10 minutes apart here in NC.
  8. Any idea what the correct length is for the knobs? I ordered replacements, but they aren't as long as the ones in my 72. The new ones don't reach the grommets, so there's enough space to see the rod below.
  9. That's what I thought. Thanks for the info everyone.
  10. The NC DMV questioned the VIN Plate on my dash, because the rivets don't look original. From the limited information I could find, the "F" should've been the Ford script "F", correct? Does it look like what a 1972 should look like? I removed the fender to show them that the numbers matched, so all is well, and I should receive the title soon.
  11. Along with the roofrail weatherstrip, will I need either or both of these, or are they for the driprail molding? http://www.ohiomustang.com/store/order_page.asp?itemid=3358p http://www.cjponyparts.com/roofrail-foam-adhesive-backed-12-1965-1973/p/RF/
  12. My roofrail weatherstrip on my 72 fastback is pretty deteriorated. With no quarter window crank to lower it, what steps do I need to do to get the window out of the way to replace the weatherstrip? I'm guessing remove the interior quarter panels to access the quarter window to remove it so it's out of the way? Any tips/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
