  1. Sounds like a great meet-up. I gave you the meet and greet award in your profile. I will check Ron's awards too.
  2. I see the price of $18,000 in between the pictures. I edited to make price more noticeable.
  3. Welcome from Virginia! Sounds like you are doing a great job.
  4. I thought I would bump this thread since no one has added to it since November 2016. So, if you have posted in this thread before feel free to update your picture. Newer members post a picture so we can visualize you with your screen name! My previous picture in this thread was from 2011 so here is an updated one!
  5. I'm missing the power folding mirrors too. Our 05 Tahoe had them but the Silverado I recently purchased (low mileage used) had a lot of options, but not the power folding mirrors. I understand they are fairly easy to convert, so that is on my wish list.
  6. One from the old days was " I Might Be Slow But I'm Ahead of You "
  7. Welcome to the site from Virginia!
  8. My wife will not drive my 73 and rarely rides in it, but she loves driving my 2004 automatic Mach 1.The original owner of my 73 was a girl I dated about 5 years from high school on. I talked her into buying the 73 convert when new. She was leaning towards buying the Grande, but I talked her into the convert. I bought from her in 1974 when it was 8 months old. So my wife thinks its a shrine to my old girlfriend.
  9. Welcome from Virginia! Nice looking 73. We will be visiting Vancouver this fall for the first time.
  10. Good find. I'll put the May 24th on my calendar.
  11. Thanks. I've been tempted over the years to drop in a 302 or a 351. Someone actually gave me a 302 engine once but I never installed. I'm happy with the 250. Great cruiser and a lot of fun. The 250 is easy to work on too. Plenty of space under the hood. If I have a "need for speed" I have a 2004 Mach 1. From the factory zero to 60 in 5.2 seconds. I do like the white Mustangs!
  12. Welcome from Virginia. Our 71/73's are not for shy people who don't like being stared at fwhile driving down the road!
  13. I've rebuilt several carbs over the years for my 73 6 cylinder but was never happy about how the engine was running. I searched for rebuilt carbs online and they were advertised from $199 to $399. I found a New Old Stock carb on eBay in its original Motorcraft boxthat had been marked down from $286 to $243 and included the electric solenoid with bracket, brass fittings for fuel filter and heat riser tube and the thick base gasket. The rebuilt carbs did not have any of these items on it. Hiopefully I will get it installed this week.
  14. Welcome from Virginia!
  15. Welcome from Virginia. Great to hear another 73 convert survived.
  16. I'm going to rebuild a spare carburetor for my 6 cylinder 250 CI Carter 1bbl carburetor. The Gunk Carburetor and Parts Cleaner with Drip Basket is available local at Advance Auto for $27.99 plus a discount coupon of $5.60 for a total of $22.39. I see another brand on Amazon called Chem Drip for $29.99 with free shipping. Amazon also has the same Gunk cleaner as Advance Auto, but is priced at $34.99 (with free shipping lollerz ). Anyone have any experience using one of these or any other brand? Or should I just use a spray carb cleaner instead of the soaking basket?
  17. You can go into his profile and send Dcerny an email. Maybe he will respond.
  18. Welcome from Virginia. Great color combo.
