  1. I just watched FantomWorks on Velocity network last night where they "restored" a 67 Cyclone! They had to buy a donor car to compete the work. Great looking cars.
  2. Welcome from Virginia! Lots of great info here. Looking forward to seeing pics of your stable.
  3. I went with a steel grey high temp engine paint for a more natural look. I painted in 2010 and the paint has held up very well.
  4. Very nice. Looks like a reasonable price if no major rust. Interesting, I bought my 73 convert in 1974 also!
  5. Welcome from Virginia! Thanks for sharing your story! We would like to see pics of your 69 also.

  11. Welcome from Virginia! Great pic.
  12. Welcome from Virginia! Post up some pics of both Mustangs. I have an 04 White Mach 1. Fun car to drive when you feel a need for speed.
  13. Price dropped! https://www.ebay.com/itm/163037245872?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649
  14. Very nice! Probably a lot easier on gas than the Mustang.
  15. My SK tools date back to the 70's when I managed an auto parts store and picked them up at wholesale prices. They have been a great set for a backyard mechanic for over 40 years. As I recall I've had to replace a couple of sockets, one ratchet, and a screwdriver under the lifetime guarantee, but no glaring faults. The last few years Sears has replaced the SK warranty items for me with Craftsman. I also have a large collection of Craftsman tools that have held up well.
  16. This thread has the measurements: https://www.7173mustangs.com/thread-rear-view-mirror?highlight=rear+view+mirror
  17. Don't forget the two floor air vents that you can open too, better make it 7/60! ;)
  18. I'm just going to use black duct tape. That should make for easy removal.
  19. Has anyone tried using Velcro in random spots to attach the water shields? I'm thinking about trying that to facilitate future removal.
  20. Welcome from Virginia. Keep us posted on your progress.
  21. The lug nuts I used are Gorilla nuts. They are the 1/2 by 2 inch ones, number 66188 (bulk number) or 66187 (clam shell pack). They are slightly shorter than the originals. http://www.gorilla-auto.com/lifetime-lug-nuts
