  2. Does anyone know where I can buy touch up paint besides from Automotive Touchup? I am needing code 6E Bright Yellow Medium. In a related story, I have 2oz of 6C medium yellow gold base coat and 2oz of clear coat to sell if you can use it. Both brand new, never opened.

  4. Anybody know where I can get correct headlight bezel screws and the plastic nuts that snap in? For a 73 Mach 1. I need two of each, but would prefer four so I can replace them all.
  5. I live in Middle TN, south of Nashville. Been digging Civil War relics for 25 years! There's a lot from the Tullahoma Campaign I’m about 20 mins from Tullahoma, sounds like we might be neighbors. I have a Whites MXT detector. Need to use it more. MXT is a great machine. I started with a White's XLT. Still have it. I use a Tecknetics T2 now, but would like to upgrade to possibly an Equinox.

  9. My driver's side door is sagging which I understand after 47 years on the road. I guess I need to change pins at a minimum or possibly change hinges too. Is it possible to change pins without removing the door? That's a cheap fix if so. Is there a relatively easy way to swap the pins?
  10. It's a work in progress but I'm pretty happy so far. Think I'll add louvers soon as I like the look. I really need to pay attention to the engine and engine bay. It runs like a sewing machine but I want to boost the power a bit without going crazy.
  11. What's involved in a cam swap generally speaking? Does the engine have to come out? Any idea on how long it should take or a general price range if I supply the cam? I just want to be able to have some basic knowledge when talking to a mechanic about it.
  12. I can special them for you ... same price I would be interested if you can get some that are a reasonable match for the factory interior. Just something that will look nice with the Ginger. in a previous post you said you may be able to find hardware and spacers from a parts car. I would need those as well, if you can locate them. I have no problem paying you for the extra parts. Just let me know my total and I'll get the money to you.

  20. Sorry, not sure of the gear ratio, but it seems to be more for highway that street racing. lol. The trans is an auto 3 speed I believe. Thanks for the reply. Sorry I am not very knowledgeable, but that's why I'm here.
  21. Anyone ever put shoulder belts in the front of a '73 Mach 1? I cannot find any info on how to do this or if it's possible. The car may have had t hem at one point, but my grandfather put in a new headliner years ago and they are not there now.
  22. I know this has been addressed and I have been reading up on it, but the more I read, the more confused I get. Here's the deal. I am inheriting my grandfathers Mach 1 351 2V that he bought new in '73. It is completely bone stock except for Flowmasters he had installed before he passed. I want to wake the engine up a little but without making any mods that would prevent me from returning to stock in the future. I'm shooting for around 300 HP if possible. Is an intake and 4bbl along with a mild cam worth investigating? Open to suggestions. I'm not very well versed in this, so I'm trying to learn. Just want to wake it up a bit on a average budget.
