  1. Welcome from Washington State.::welcome::
  2. Ricky, The rear window must be sealed or it will leak.
  3. I also had this problem recently. I was going to order a spring, but before I did I called around. I talked to Andy at "Andy's Classic Mustangs" in Spokane. He told me that return spring was a bad design that just made your bushing wear out faster. He advised to just take it out and install a spring somewhere else. I still wasn't convinced, so I went down to another repair shop that I think highly of and asked the same question. Same exact responce. Went home and took mine out. Works great. I still haven't added a spring yet, but will in the near furture. I only need it now for about the last inch of travell. My 2 cents worth, hope this helps - - or fix it a new original spring. Looks like a hell of a job. Location - behind the tach - up near the top of the clutch linkage. ( where the spring is located. )::rolleyes:
  4. Yes, there are other headers. If just want to put them on once and drive your car, there is no replacement for the HOOKER COMP's. :D Tried others - - and was sorry. :(
  5. Steve, I believe yor right on with the Gear Vendors. I understand that you want to keep your current performance and have the ability to drive highway speeds. Nothing wrong with that, and have the increased mpgs that will go with the Gear Vendors. If you do it, please include pictures on a post. I also want to do it and keep my originality, with the ability to drive highway speeds at a lower rpm. You may have to alter your exhaust some to make room. I believe it would make your car into what you want! While some don't get it, I say You Rock. :D
  6. Anyone out there have their fuel tank out. I bought a new replacement fuel tank and installed it. Didn't look close at the old one. Now I have to vent the tank. Can't remember how the old tank was vented, and was wondering if the new tank can be vented the same way. I really don't want to get a vented cap. Anyone have any pictures of the vent coming off the tank or feedback. Thanks, Wade :dodgy:
  7. Nice write up. You deserve a Gold Star for all that. :D
  8. CAN'T HARDLY BEAT A GOOD MUFFLER SHOP TO CUSTOM MAKE AND INSTALL YOUR PIPES! :exclamation:
  9. HOPE ALL GOES WELL. BEFORE YOU TEAR IT DOWN TO MUCH, TAKE ABOUT 4 TIMES THE AMOUNT OF PICTURES YOU MAY FEEL YOU NEED. YOU WILL FIND, AS TIME GOES BY, HOW NICE IT IS TO HAVE THOSE PICTURES AS A REFERENCE. :D
  10. WELCOME FROM THE GREAT STATE OF WASHINGTON.
  11. Hello Scott, Always good to see another member from Washington State. Thanks for your service. ::welcome::
  12. Rick, You are correct. The car will not run without the tach hooked up. You can use a 2 trailer wire connector to plug into the tach wire and just connect the two wires together to complete the link. Car will run fine then. :)
  13. WELCOME FROM WASHINGTON STATE. LOOKS LIKE YOU'LL GET THAT MUSTANG LOOKING GREAT. :)

  19. I'm wondering about installing a GEAR VENDORS overdrive. Can this be installed in a fastback without any floor modifications? I'd love to see some pictures if anyone has them. :idea:

  21. Nice Project Zac. Here's a sight that you can get valuable information when your working on your car and have a problem. Nothing as nice as talking to other mustang owners who have been already been there.
