I’ve tried 3 different headers so far, I have the 72’ 351C converted to 4 barrel with power steering, AC has been removed , the last set of headers hit the starter - so I need to by a smaller starter?? Additionally I’m swapping EFI. and if I get shorty headers- will that really affect my EFI systems O2 sensor location. Shorty headers will resolve my problems of fitment but really would love to have full length exhaust. Any brands and recommendations are plausible however I’ve bought Flowtech 32118FLT, they hit the starter I’ve tried hooker 6920 headers they are for 67-70 351C but I tried them anyway since I found them cheap, they needed to be bent to fit ...   2. I came up on these 2007-2009 Shelby GT500 rims (M-1007 S-1895 )but all four are 18x9.5” I pretty much bartered for, they are beautiful but not sure if I can use them. After reading a few big wheel and rim threads I don’t think it’s possible Other threads have maxed out at 18x9” for the front. But has anyone that I haven’t read about yet been able to get the fronts to that size? I know Large Marge did a staggered 17x9” up front but wasn’t sure if he was making everything out or not...   5. Need to find a good junkyard or home for all this stuff! Front and rear shocks, coils, upper and lower control arms, replacement spring perches(new), intake manifold 2 barrel , seatbelts(red), old 8 track radio, vents for cowl, exhaust pipe tips plus rusted pipes , original headers 2 barrel I think they’re d0ze casting (1970), original shifter, air conditioner compressor and brackets, air conditioning cooler , heater blower and vents, dashboard insert for miscellaneous junk, timing chain, pushrods, rockers, lifters, dented original oil pan, oil pump, leaf springs, rear drum brakes plus lug studs, clutch fan, radiator Everything that came off this car I replaced w/ new parts, car was running with these components just old and all the same rusty color , a/c and heater untested , leaf springs sagged an inch, I’m sure there is some good stuff but really could use some valve covers my MT aluminums we’re both cracked and welded and leaked oil so looking for some covers.   6. Hang on just a cotton pickin finger lickin minute... I cant see jack shit out of my rear glass at the best of times ... I don't think I would notice Angelina Jolie in "Y" shape, fingering herself over my rear tailgate... How in the name of blue F**k can you see anything when the rear glass is covered in plastic? The louvers are metal! All the fingering should be done inside I figured as I was thinking about doing the rear view camera for $20 at least for backing up , as far as changing lanes-good luck everyone else!   7. Dude, I was cursed with “ I want to do my headliner for $50”. I ended up buying the new seal for the rear windshield, seals for the rain gutters, windlace to hold the headliner, headliner/upholstery glue, window-weld/butyl with a caulking gun , tinting the window, and new trim clips , plus the headliner and sail fins! Finally after all that was ordered I got my headliner in after a week of afternoons. I hear other people saying they tried “tucking the vinyl into the seals but it sounded iffy and I tried tucking with a puddy knife and it wrinkled and started tearing my fabric - the amount of tension I had to pull on the vinyl to flatten all columns and rows of fabric was phenomenal , any bit of slack not held in by the chopped up wind lace would show where tension was needed to wrap around those pinchwelds!   8. I picked off some rear disc brakes from a mustang restoration shop and he said he was sure they were off an 87-92 SVO? Install went fine on one side however I’m missing a parking brake Clevis shackle , the calipers are Ford stamped with a 2431–C and B with a circle stamped on the calipers. I can’t find any information on them and that means I can’t find the parking brake shackle anywhere! Any ideas on how to go about identifying this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. Santa got me my finishing parts of the suspension system I was really looking forward to, some 1157 led bulbs for the rear and front as well as a classy license plate frame
  18. Thank you,! And yes I definitely love the metallic and sheen look. It’s most likely salvaged from a rear end/side impact collision on the passenger quarter panel and bumper. The bumper brackets/bumper are warped and but quarter panel was well filled and refinished with bondo. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/ The dash pad IS very nice and is recommend it over restoring the cracked old one.I even sold the old cracked one to help buy the new one.   19. Thank you for the support, it really is a great motivator in our line of work. I believe the salvage title was mainly because body related damage. The passenger quarter panel has had a gallon of filler applied prior to paint and the wiring I’m pretty sure now it’s from the wires near flashers and relays being chewed on. Bumper brackets and taillight panel are warped due to quarterpanel damage most likely.   21. Hey y’all! The craigslist barter system brought me to a silver 1972 Mach 1 ; 351 Cleveland 2 barrel, Michigan girl. Salvage title but body is straight, 20 year old paint and restoration, I work as a seasonal firefighter and finally got laid off in November so I’ve been blasting through gutting it , ordering parts like crazy and it somehow sees no end? Needless to say, my favorite moneypit so far. Originally it was to be put to its old glory days with the red vinyl interior, but I’ve taken so many turns on the internet with ideas I feel like just going with what I like and not being so traditional or purist and I just hate the color red so much on my favorite interior color scale. I’m going all black with some tan aftermarket seats. I got it from a guy in San Diego and he never did anything with it. Other than starting it every now and then. It will now reside in Glendora, CA hopefully it won’t rust anymore after this relocation. As far as this month I’ve gutted it and shop vacced 4 mice nest (they hid everywhere and chewed through all my flasher relays!), noise deadened the entire cab/trunk/doors, restretched the headliner, washed and tinted all the windows, sealed the rear window and quarter windows. I’m about to get started on the dash while the windshield is still out, which is very nice to work on the dash with the windshield out. Anyways before I get rambling just wanted to introduce myself. I’m looking forward to some harsh criticism and am optimistic about this never ending project. Paperwork is a pending salvaged vehicle title, also pending light inspection( hence why it doesn’t have an official title just a salvage title application.
