  5. If you're OK with an X-Pipe vs. an H-Pipe, Pypes makes a nice set-up. I have a Pypes X-Pipe [complete] system on my '71. I only had to put about 7 degrees bend into the collector/lead pipe to match up to the Hookers. Here's a link to the Pypes site for more information: https://pypesexhaust.com/ag-134874.112395.116152-1971-ford-mustang.html Hope this helps! Awesome! Thank you very much! 8. Well I simply removed the motor mount bolt and jacked the engine up. Fit no problem. Thanks for the replies. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I think the angle is my problem. How high did you have the car? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Hello, I have a 73 Mach 1 with a 351c, power steering & a C6. I purchased the hooker 6915 long tubes and have a question about the install. I was able to easily install the passenger side tonight and took a quick stab at the driver side. I was unable to get it into position. Seems to hit the power steering gear box. The instructions state that I need the car up at least 36” but with my jack stands and garage, I can not get it close to that tall. Does anyone know if the header will fit if I move the power steering gear box or do I literally need to lift the car that high for the right angle? Thanks in advance. 18. Thank you both. Unfortunately the engine is of unknown origin and would probably be best if I check the timing chain and other components. I will just change the cover at this point. Now to get another timing cover. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Thank you Don. That makes sense. However, if that bolt is not fully tight and I get separation from the plate and the bottom of the water pump, I could see an antifreeze leak? Also If this is the case, would the smart play to be to replace the timing cover or try and tap/helicoil that hole? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Thank you. I was looking at this online. Thought I might have stripped the circled. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. So I am working on a newly purchased 73 Mach 1 with a 351c. I had a coolant leak at the bottom of the water pump and come to find out that one of the holes is stripped out and leaking though the bolt hole. The one that is stripped is the bolt directly below where the lower radiator hose attaches. Am I correct in thinking that this is one of the bolts that attaches to the timing cover only and not directly into the block? Would love to just replace the timing cover and avoid attempting a helicoil into the block. Thanks everyone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I just bought a 73 Mach 1. The bucket seats in the car are obviously not standard but I am really not sure what they are or where they came from. Anyone have an idea? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
