  1. Looks like they sold this one on BLUE LIGHT special. Im of the age where I remember those blue lights on a push around cart.
  2. Ive not seen what I used posted on any threads. The product is called Mar-hyde black satin. #3811. Its made for steel and plastics (not vinyl). Product is a automotive product by 3m. Its makes a nice even satin finish. Make several light coats for the best finish. It has all the nasty stuff in it like acetone, ketones, and such that basically melt there way into the plastics. Its super tough so I used it on my firewall. You can get it at Orileys auto, or online.
  3. Ohhhh Boy, I see tickets in the future. Unless you out run them . Thats some serious H.P and torque.
  4. I did keep the MM panels. I will lightly dye them to match the rest of the interior. I was strongly against dyeing due to the frequent touching and rubbing in that area. I simply have no choice.
  5. Tmi all the way. They are spendy but they fit and the color is correct. I special ordered Mustang market door panels. Only because they made them in Vermillion color. They fit well but the color is way off for vermillion. Actual picture posted of MM and o.e panel. The color picture they showed v/s what I got was totally different. They wouldnt refund because they said it was a special order. Before M.M I tried Dashs direct.........those were way wrong with fitment. As Kilgon mentioned.
  6. Well put! Im also known as the neighborhood mustang guy. Had a neighbour last week come by and say.........Per neighborhood covenants you can only own ONE mustang. I knew we don't have any covenants in this old neighborhood but I checked anyways. Obviously he's a jealous neighbor who drives a chevy
  7. And Wala a genius is born! Nice trick.......Im going for it. You must of reversed the vac to blow?
  8. Correct Sheriff, I should have re-worded it. Use (1) pin to get center then go from there.
  9. Hi, I have a bunch of mustang parts I would like to sell. Many of the parts are in Ford shipping boxs (some marked service parts). If you would like a picture email me please. All parts are new with exception of the badge emblems and the cluster.
  10. Cant you take a tracing off the fender with holes. Then flip the paper over as a reverse template for the fender without holes?
  11. Thank you Hemi killer for digging up that literature. It certainly covered virtually all questions I had. Now the hunt is on........... :-)
  12. Thanks for your knowledge! I appreciate the answer. Hemi killer did the 68 4v 302 come with just standard blue covers? Or blue with powered by ford on them?
  13. Help :-) I have a 1968 302 4v j code mustang. I need to replace the valve covers as mine are dented. I ran across this set in town and need your opinion if they are actually O.E or not? Seller says they are O.E. I don't have a clue even after extensive internet searches? Thanks for your help!!
  14. Thanks for sharing! That is GREAT info. I've rebuilt mine (don't think I would want to do it again). Rod
  15. Might try these ideas? I believe I would try to adjust the modulator screw 1/2 turn at a time to see if you affect the shift. Its a easier thing to try than pulling the tail piece to check the governor. Was the modulator new or used? correct color stripe? also check to see if you have a good vacuum at the hose, NO pinholes in the hose. The hose is soft and supple no cracks.
  16. Tells it when to shift. It looks like a silver air pod and will have a paint mark on it with a certain color.
  17. Hum........if we looked at the obvious first? then the shifting adjustment rod needs adjusted. If that doesn't help to cure it? then go deeper into the tranny. I wouldnt think it would be the shifting module? however check the color stripe on it.. If he secret sauced it :-) who knows?. But a common thing to do, to make it shift faster and harder on the fmx is to leave out the ball check on the 2nd gear. Lets see what your fella says he did first.
  18. Could you share the part #s for ordering kyb? also the the rear shocks? Thanks
  19. Hi Everwood, My heart goes out to you and your family. My wife Sally also passed this year in my arms (April 20th 2021). She also was from Kansas (paola). 20. So........... is this also the right color and sheen for the rocker panels and rear spoiler? so many questions. Thanks
  21. Thanks Guys, appreciated!! Stanglover.........David sent me the measurements some time ago and the painter does have those. Thanks to both of you! Rod and Sally's mustang
  22. I thought I saw a thread on this subject but cant find it now. Oh Well, so...............what is the correct shade and sheen of black for the blackout hood? I wanna get it painted right the first time. I also assume the rear deck spoiler is the same code paint? Thank you
