  1. So the previous owner told me that he replaced the front and back bumpers with chrome and that he preferred the look of 71/72 over the 73. Could’ve been blowing smoke. The Vin’s do match on the door and dash. Haven’t pulled the fender yet. Does anyone know other subtle differences to look for between a 71/72 and a 73?
  2. The Ford tach is a current triggered unit, and will need an adapter to be run off the TACH terminal of the HEI unit. MSD 8920 is the unit you'll need. https://www.msdperformance.com/products/...parts/8920 Ordered! Thanks for the help. 7/24/19 update: installed the msd unit and it fixed the issue. Tach is working properly. Thanks!
  3. Hey Everyone! I currently have a 73 Mach 1. The previous owner painted her gulfstream aqua and did some sketchy shade tree mechanic stuff to her. I’m trying to knock off the cobwebs and undo some of the shenanigans. She’s got a 351 Windsor off an f-150.
  4. Thanks I’ll look into the duraspark. Heading to the intro section now.

  6. Stock tachometer not working with HEI (gm style) distributor. Tach jumps around sporadically. Has anyone solved this issue before. I believe an MSD system could be made to work but I don’t want to switch out the distributor unless I have too. Thanks for any advice!
