  1. I see looking at your site that there is a convertible seat box for up to a 68. I will end up using that and modify it to work. Wont know the extent of damage until I get the seats and carpet out.
  2. Hello all, My newest project (which I will be posting soon in the other forum) needs new floors (there's a shock!) Does a convertible get seat boxes? Every ad I have seen for sheet metal says "fastback or coupe". Never any for a convertible. As far as the floor goes, I wont know exactly how bad it is till I'm done peeling away the layers but might go with a full one piece floor.
  3. Hi I'm looking for a 71-73 NASA hood in the Tampa, FL area. On mine, the structure part is heavily rusted out.
  4. Does any one have a diagram of how the 1972 2 spoke steering wheel goes together and what parts are needed to make it complete? My project just has the base part of the wheel - I need the pad and whatever else it need (horn button, pad, etc.) To make it whole. But to do that I need to know what parts are actually required. Thanks
  5. Looking for a pair of the steel brackets that are bolted to radiator support for the twist hood locks.
  6. I'm not so concerned with the chrome trim as I am with the black texture paint bubbling. If I scrape it off and repaint it wont have the texture any longer unless there's a paint out there that provides that texture.
  7. On many of the used consoles I see for sale, there is bubbling of the paint on the center console just below the shifter opening. I have attached a picture for reference. Is this fixable and if so how?
  8. Thank you for the compliment. The fact that it all the options I wanted and was also a vert helped with decision
  9. Not sure about the stripe or rear spoiler yet, like the way it looks without
  10. Yes I plan on keeping it original except I will add Magnum wheels cuz I like the way they look. Possibly the side stripes and spoilers as well. Thanks for the tips. I am attaching the Marti report so you can see how it was made. It's missing the console but I will replace that.
  11. I have the Marti report and am posting a pic of it. The car seems mostly original although the console is missing which I will replace
  12. Where can I find an option list and what each option breaks down into? My car (72 vert)has options like decor group and instrumentation group and competition suspension. What exactly is included in each of thos groups? Is there a website that breaks down these that I can look at? Thanks
  13. In the end I went for the vert. I felt it was more what I was looking for option wise (it has AC) and I love having a vert as I had one before (not a stang tho). While I love the sleek look of the fastback, the vert was the same inside and outside colors of the one in my youth and felt it had more potential for enjoyment when I'm done with it.
  14. Hi, I'm looking for a console, gauge set with tach and small gauges in middle of dash. Let me know if you have any of these Thank you
  15. Hello, I have been looking for a decent project car as I had a 71 Mach 1 back in the day and want one again. Now I am down to 2 potential projects - 1972 convertible outfitted as a Mach 1 would be, Q code, comp suspension, trac loc rear ,etc and the other is a 1972 Mach 1 fast back, also a q code. Both need a restoration, which I am not afraid of as i do all my own work, paint included. The convert is a little more money which is expected. I had a fastback before and was looking for one but the prospect of a convertible especially here in sunny florida is enticing. Just looking for a general consensus on which might be more collectible, desired, etc. Thanks And Happy Thanksgiving!
  16. I am looking for a 1971 Mach 1 or fast back project. I had a fire engine red one back in the day and out of all my cars, I miss that one the most. So I want to find another one to build. Prefer a 1971 with 351 Cleveland and auto. Not too concerned with amount of work needed as I can do almost everything needed. Under $10k if possible. I am in Tampa, FL area. Thanks in advance.
  17. Hello everyone New to this forum. Found while searching for a project stang. I had a 1971 Fire engine red Mach 1 back when I was cool and am now looking for a 1971 Mach 1 project to relive my youth! No stranger to muscle cars having owned a few. Currently on a 1971 Chevelle SS 454 that I restored my self including paint. I will be posting on the WTB forum looking for my next project. Thanks in advance to every member!
