  1. Thanks for your response! And does that like connect to the open space on the Aircleaner I have in the photo?
  2. Looking for some help on some finishing touches. Mainly Vacuum lines and air breather hose connections. Also this weird little blue canister, what is it and does it need to be plugged off or hoses routed to make it run as smooth as possible? sream car, but my first one, help please
  3. Couple of install shots. Slowly coming along. I’ve got it about 90% in now, trans is back in, accessories, driveshaft, exhaust, etc, just triple checking torques and making sure I don’t get a gross fuel leak all over that fresh paint.
  4. It’s custom ground, I’d have to look up the lift and duration. It’s hydraulic and I didn’t want a lumpy cam for the street. I dislike driving cars like that on the street, my personal opinion. And I will correct myself over 400 ft/lbs to 500 rpm but stays high averages are 392 ft/lbs and 350 hp. With the 4 speed it should be a nice ride. Way too expensive though haha 🤷‍♂️
  5. 401hp/ 417 lbs torque curve is like a flat line above 400 until about 5000rpm It definitely preferred the Holley 600 over the browler carb. And it liked being hot. Actually made more power when it was warm.
  6. Update. engine is punched out, bottom end assembled. Heads have been ported/polished. Starting to go back together.
  7. Again, Not my car, so I’m just posting this for a perspective buyer who may be in the market for a drop top. Stripes look kinda weird, definitely dirty, but who knows maybe it’s a gem? https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/nipawin/mustang-for-sale/1550742171?undefined It’s also in Saskatchewan so essentially 1000miles from anywhere lol 😂
  8. Welcome from Toronto
  9. Gotta love that boss finish. For me it’s all about that flat black hood. just FYI I know everyone is a stickler for details on that is site so it probably hasn’t passed you by but that’s 70k USD asking price. That’s today’s exchange rate but banks charge more to convert. So likely 71-72k I’d guess..... plus Tax 😉
  10. Thought I’d post this incase someone is in the market for a BOSS Mustang 1971 Documented Boss 351 Mustang on Kijiji https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/regina/1971-documented-boss-351-mustang/1530285391?utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_content=app_ios&utm_medium=social&utm_source=sms
  11. Still looking for a set of anyone has a pair ?
  12. So mine is a 72, it’s an early 72, most of the parts are 71 parts numbers, from what I’ve been able to see. Not sure if that’s common some previous owner hacked the panels for the 4x6 speakers mounted in the panels. I put new ones in the doors. And now want to cut the panel hole to make it appear more factory. I guess the point I’m trying to make is as long as they look factory I’m good. Message me with what you have
  13. Looking for a set of speaker grills for the lower door cards.
  14. Yea you are definitely too much of a purist... they are wheels they come off lol
  15. Killer, 460 convertible and right hand drive. Welcome from Toronto Canada.
  16. Hey welcome to the forum. I see Madrid got 20 cm of snow today. Made the news. check out, Kijiji.ca This is a Canadian buy and sell page. They have lots of antique cars for sale. Good thing about canadian cars is many of them are American cars to start and have been imported here at substantial cost to the buyer and it’s cost that they never typically recuperate on resale. What’s that mean for you? Better buying power in Canada, the exchange rate is much more favourable. 1973 Ford Mustang Convertible on Kijiji https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/calgary/1973-ford-mustang-convertible/1544953489?utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_content=app_ios&utm_medium=social&utm_source=sms here’s a link to a fresh looking 73 convertible 44k Canadian about 28k euro. Convertibles aren’t typically popular here for obvious reasons. Hope it helps. Dave
  17. So a little update. Heads and block are all striped down. Just waiting for the custom grind cam from Howard’s. I guess there is a shortage of cam cores due to the pandemic. I had some thoughts on adding ram air (cool factor) while it’s apart. Maybe someone can answer for me. I have the CJ air cleaner. The air plenum kit seems easy enough to acquire as a reproduction. i think a few places like year one sell a kit. 3 big questions: 1: do I need only the air cleaner lid or is the lower part different? 2: the MSD ignition has forced me to use a small spacer under the carb (though until the build is finished I won’t know the size) I think 1/2 inch. Is there enough crush space in the gasket to make that work? 3: last one, I do not have a locking hood. Is that also an issue? Thanks in advance
  18. Cool copper colour. I think the stripe works on that colour. Looks good. Welcome from Toronto, Ontario.
  19. Excellent, great colour and I love that the door jams look so clean!
  20. So tear down went well. Worn cam, which was expected. Worn lifters, crank bearings... loose timing chain. but it still had the original ford bearings so if appears untouched. some questions have arisen from my engine builder about whether a stoker kit may be more economical then some of the labour and replacement parts. wondering about people’s thoughts on strokers? Likely it will only need .20 over. it’s a street car, 4 speed with 3.50 open gear. No intention to change the running gear whatsoever. I definitely do not want a street machine. A true to form Mach1 with a little extra grunt is enough for me. thoughts?
