  1. Huh? Maybe seat belt alarm? Door ajar? Something from the convenience package. If you take the glove box out and look above it. There will be a place where all those convenience stuff is at. If you unplug one at a time you will find what it is thats tooting its horn :-) That will give you a pretty good idea where to start the tracking. I think it has to do with the passenger seat pressure switch that tells the car someone is in the passenger seat and to show the "Fasten Seat Belt" Light.
  2. Went away when I pulled one of the connectors under the seat. When I did that, the light under the dash on the pass. side came on for the first time. Definitely some sort of issue there. Just going to have to hunt it down.
  3. Rozz, Did you find your fix? I have the same issue.
  4. When I open either door to the car, there is a weird buzzing sound that comes from the actual passenger seat. If I fold the seat forward, it stops. What the heck is this? I'm assuming like some sort of chime or warning, but why in the passenger seat, and what should it really sound like? That low level buzzing can't be right. Thanks!
  5. Well, for my two nights on this road trip I was glad to find two great Airbnb properties that offer secured garages. I'm certainly pleased with that outcome. My next move was KOA campgrounds where I could pitch a tent right next to the car, or even sleep in it if I wanted to. Fold down the back seats, put the feet in the trunk and my head behind the seats. LOL. I'm sure someone has done it.
  6. Agreed on the spare tire. Wish I could hang for the show, but it's the wrong direction and I can't stay out there all week. "The previous owner has changed quite a few items on the car that you will find out in the future." Please enlighten me. : )
  7. I hear you. I'm actually looking into airbnb's with garage options. There aren't many along my route, but there are some.
  8. Thanks! Somehow your user name reminds me of this meme. ;)
  9. Have the big road trip next weekend to bring the car home. Tennessee to Arizona. I'm going to try to make OKC night 1 and Albuquerque night 2. I typically say in nicer hotels. Hyatt Place, Farifield by Mariott, etc. Not the Motel 6 or Super 8. But I do worry about waking up one morning and the car not being there. How comfortable are you guys on road trips with leaving the car in a hotel parking lot overnight? Do you disable the car in any way? Back it in, instead of pulling it in so it's not as easy to scoop? I was thinking about staying at some of the brands flagship properties that have Valet, assuming that might be a bit more secure. But then I'm at risk of the valet joyriding it. Thoughts?
  10. It definitely makes them feel a bit more special, right? The funny thing is that my 1 of 4 , (3 being sold outside the country) is the TuTone hood paint which was an $18 option per the window sticker. Realistically, a lot of cars got these. Sure, many did not. But it seems like EVERYONE adds it when the car is repainted. So is it special?? Maybe. But in reality, not so much. LOL. But at least it's on the original window sticker. …. and that's a plus!! All in all, the Marti report is well worth having, even if it's slightly manipulated. For sure you are going to have fun on this Forum. We're serious about our cars, but hopefully not to serious about a little ribbing from time to time, lol. Sounds like a perfect fit to me! ::thumb::
  11. Thanks! I was born in Washington Court House, Ohio. Not too far from you. Still have a lot of family back there. GO BUCKS!! Glad to see another Buckeye on here. My son in law parents moved out to Surprise Az awhile back. I was a 63C in the army many many moons ago! Go to the tab at the top of the page that says Fun Stuff and go to Members Award. There you can apply for a badge for being in the military. Oh yeah. Big Buckeye fan. 10's of thousands of Buckeye fans out here too. We fill the stadium every time they come for a Fiesta Bowl. But the Buckeyes travel well everywhere. Just wish they played better when they come here. I went back for the ichigan game in 2016. The 2OT game where Harbaugh went nuts after JT's first down. :shootself: :D Surprise is about 15 minutes from where I am. Not far at all. I got the Army badge yesterday. : ) I was a 63B.

  13. Thanks! Not too hot right now. 70-75F for the next few weeks to a month. Perfect out, really. But yes, it will definitely get hot. And, the women definitely dress with less the hotter it gets. We don't have all the hot cars, but the Barrett Jackson Scottsdale every January sure is a blast. If you ever get the chance to come check it out, you should.
  14. Thanks Wayne! I was stationed at Ft. Riley from 93-98. I also do a little business with a company in Salina and still get back there every now and then. :)

  16. Hi. Thanks! I'll definitely have a lot more to tell after I pick it up next weekend and road trip it home from Tennessee to Arizona. : ) This is what I have knowledge of so far from the ad and talking with the current owner... This Mach 1 was purchased from the original owner and the options picker when he ordered this car after his service to the country in Vietnam. After purchase from a Dallas, TX Ford Dealer the car never left the area. In later years the original owner drove it to car shows and taught his grandson to drive in it. Years later the car had a repaint and he replaced parts of the interior that were showing wear. It then went to a collector in TN. He purchased the car to add to his collection. It has been driven twice a month to keep her in good running order. The car has never been north of TN and has never seen snow and has been keep inside its whole existence. The car retains it's original 351 4-V Cleveland engine. It has been rebuilt, and the C6 freshened up when the original owner still had it. The rear gear is now 3:50, but the original 3:25 is in a box and comes with the car. The original 8 Track player comes with the car, the original seat covers come with the car. Anything replaced comes with the car, except the stock wheels. The wheels have been upgraded to 15 " Magnums and BFG tires. Aside from normal service work , this is the exact same way car was delivered to the collector from the original owner. The interior is near impeccable with it's white vinyl and grey stripped seat. The exterior is very bright and shines even though is is an aging re-paint. The motor runs out sweet and is a very high quality rebuild. The vacuum hood scoops work has they should. A/C works has it should. When the A/C compressor was rebuilt, it was decided not to re-paint it black, but instead leave it was it was as it matches the valve covers and provides a unique look. The Marti Report states that there is no other car in the US exactly like this one. It states that only 4 were built exactly like this one, and the other 3 were sold to other countries. That's always a bit subjective as Kevin Marti always arranges the order of options to give you the most rare version possible. But it is cool when it says that your VIN# is "THAT MUSTANG". You can see more pics and pics of the replaced parts in "My Garage" on this page.
  17. How do you like that center console with the cup holders? Did it come with the aluminum plate for the auto trans? Or was that an additional part?
  18. Hi everyone. Glad to be here. Looking forward to gaining a wealth of knowledge about these cars and sharing what I learn too. I'm picking up mine next week and driving her home to AZ. Some would trailer it, but I didn't buy it not to drive it. :D
  19. Where did you get the double USB that fit in the stock lighter trim ring? Have a part number or link by chance?
