  1. You are definitely correct. There is a 2710 that is thermal, and also has the longer shaft like the 1710. According to Rock Auto it will work on a Mustang from 67-79. Clearly, I bought the 1710. Definitely going to order a 2710 now. Again, thanks for the head's up.
  2. I think I got the clutch and Dorman bolts for mine from Rock Auto. No spacer with my 3 row radiator. My clutch NEVER disengages even in the winter which is kind of frustrating. By the time it's done with it's initial spinning which they all do, I'm well enough into the heat to keep it locked up all the time. That's in the garage at idle. I'm not sure what it's doing while driving. Hopefully there is some amount of slippage occurring saving me a couple mpg and adding a couple more hp. But who really knows.
  3. Yes the car does have a cam. Not one that people seem to care for very much. it's a Comp Cams 270H-10 https://www.compcams.com/magnum-224-224-hydraulic-flat-cam-for-ford-351c-351m-400m.html Very interesting. I have to admit that I've never attempted to adjust my vacuum advance.
  4. I've actually got holes in all 4 now. Was the only way to keep the transfer slot "boxed" and be able to idle properly. Prior to this, I had to use the main idle screw which opened up the transfer slot too much and rand so rich that there was no longer any adjustment at the metering block screws. This thread is really just about my timing jumping to 30 by connecting to manifold vacuum.
  5. So all of the carb adjustments I've done to date have been with all of the vacuum lines capped. I can get the car where I want it, idle at 850-900 in park, timing at 16*. All good and well. But if I hook up the dizzy to manifold vacuum, timing jumps up to close to 30, and the RMPS jump up to 1200. That's still in park at idle. I expected a slight increase in timing and rpms. but very slight. I don't even make that much vacuum. The dizzy is a Mallory Unilite, that I will be swapping out for the Duraspark soon anyway, but doesn't this sound like way too much advance at idle??
  6. Thanks for the compliments. Here's the link? What part of AZ are you in? I'm in Peoria. https://www.ebay.com/itm/4-x-100W-Class-D-Bluetooth-4-0-Audio-Amplifier-Board-TSA8498/221890226707?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3Dd264ff9859ad4ab383294d3946f7d6e7%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D15%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D221890226707%26itm%3D221890226707%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057&_trksid=p2380057.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3Aa4a9a1e6-48ab-11eb-b228-1686229e35ef|parentrq%3Aa6f3bdaf1760a12b7cf6c355ffd67da4|iid%3A1
  7. Is that front sway bar oversized? If so, who makes that?
  8. I like that! Those lines aren't very secure at all without something like that.
  9. My car came with factory 8 Track, but the player was DOA. I wanted to keep the look, but integrate Bluetooth. So I bought a board on eBay that can easily power the 4 speakers. I hogged out the guts of the 8 track and installed the board. Now I have my 8 Track look (complete with Pink Floyd DSOM ;) Best album from 1973.), but Bluetooth enabled stereo. Here's some photos of my install, and a short video. The phone can't handle the bass, but it sounds very clean and loud with NO EXTERNAL AMP. This board is the only thing providing the sound. Music is through the phone. I have Android, but this would work with Apple too. 20201227_175314_1.mp4
  10. They changed the Buy It Now price to $89k. The action is ending in minutes. Top bid is $48,900.
  11. You should be able to find them fairly easily on here by using the search function. I'll warn you though, the originals are rough, and they have never really been improved upon, but they get the job done.
  12. Move that comma and make it $38,900. In all seriousness, they could probably get what, $70k for this? Clearly no explaining their number.
  13. Let me know when you've "adapted" and you want more. LOL
