  1. Just finishing up a build and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me exactly how the fuel line was attached to the carb from the factory? Pics would be great too. Right now we've just fitted some hose with clamps - but it does't feel like the right solution.
  2. Thanks for the suggestion - after poking around apparently bracket is a unique part to 429 mustangs and cougars :( It's a real drag... I found one guy in NY that fabs them, but his listing is for a whole assembly and wants 800 USD for it. I have reached out to see if he'll sell just the engine side bracket alone, but I'm not holding out too much hope.
  3. I pulled my motor and tranny last night for a rebuild and discovered that my Clutch Equalizer Pivot Bracket was cracked with signs of previous brazing. Just wondering if anyone has ever found any NOS or REPOP... I can't find anything for a 429... Drake make one for 351s... But it appears there's nothing out there for a 71 429... any suggestions?
  4. Out of curiosity where did you find them? They seem to be exceedingly rare
  5. Vermillion Grab Handles seem impossible to find. I have spent hours hunting about the internet looking, but with zero results. Has any come across any anywhere... I'm replacing my door panels this winter and would like to get new handles as well... For extra points - Has anyone used door panels from Dashes Direct? If so what was thoughts on them, or is there a better manufacturer out there?
  6. I cannot express how much I love this car... She needs a touch of love, but man... Since I was a 13 yr boy I knew this was the car for me and man oh man, was I right!
  7. 71 429 SCJ here... 1971 Mach 1 429SCJ Built 12/04/70 3 Bright Red 5E Vermillion 4.11 Detroit Locker Close Ratio 4-Speed Transmission Magnum 500 Chrome Wheels Deluxe Marti report puts it as a 1 of 1
  8. Just wanted to stop by and say hi! As a proud owner of a 71 429 SCJ in Nova Scotia, Canada I was so happy to find the forum (not a lot of them here). The car is relatively new to to me, but I can proudly say the old girl has found her permanent home (...well, as long as I'm around). It's not in bad shape, but there are a few things that I have planned and I hope that I can find some of the answers I need and the shoulders to cry on that I'll inevitably need here. I've attached a few pic of what I'm starting with and I can't wait to she where it ends up.
