  1. Ive done mine and it is a conversation at every car show. I’m using from handles but would love to find the shorter ones. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Nice. I’ve been waiting for this to come up. You’ll be getting an order from me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Very nice. I saw the clock at Hobby Lobby. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Not a mustang discussion, but I thought I would share. Pre-Restoration, I would do one major woodworking project a year for the girls. I’m not trained, but enjoy drawing up the designs and making something with my hands. My last project was in 2013 and so I finally decided to do something different. 10 years ago I restored my pedal fire truck I received for Christmas in the 70s. I worked on the design to house the truck on and off for a few years and began building it over the weekend. My finished product serves as a display case and tv stand. I’m pretty happy with the result. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Welcome from Texas and man I am digging that color. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. This may be posted up somewhere, but I’m catching up on recorded shows and Danny just looked at a red 72 Mach 1. It’s mid-restoration but looked nice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Go back a couple of years on the Watback Machine and see if it works. https://archive.org/web/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. The car has been paid off and I’m waiting for the title. I chose to keep it and I’m selling it to the body shop. He has it repaired and is giving it to his son. In fact, he made the 16 year old boy do all the work to earn it. Very good daddy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. That's true about parts. I've asked for them to give me the cash value and the amount they will give me if I keep the car. It will depend on how the numbers run as to whether I take either offer. They trying to get me to release the car but I've refused until we have an agreement in place. 11. Well they called on Friday and decided it was a total loss. We're still working out the details but in the mean time I took advantage of the end of model year specials. Here's my new 2017 Ecoboost Premium with Pony (California special in 2016) package. I picked her up at 8pm so I've not had much time yet but so far I'm impressed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. It blew the knee airbag. It's not really that expensive (3-400) in the grand scheme of things. It doesn't blow a panel like other locations. According to the estimate sheet, I don't see any cost associated with the body twisting. Diver fender, door repair, hood replacement, front bumper and everything associated w it, radiator support, paint, etc. Parts total was around 5k and the rest was labor. I would be happy either way as long as they pay off the note. According to the cash value, it should be close. I love the car and so would be happy if they fixed it. Actually, with the bumper off, I have a few mods I would like to do. I'll let you know what they tell me. The car still ran well as I drove it off the road. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I would make sure they put on frame machine and make sure it is still right. Equal and opposite reaction comes into play here. Something had to move. I was at insurance yard once and there was a new mustang there with 300 miles on it. The passanger door was inside the car and the rocker box was bent where the car got hit in the door. I made a list of what it would take to fix. Went to the Ford dealer and had the parts guy going to look up the prices. He looked at me funny and said "this is not a car in the insurance yard is it?" I told him yes and he laughed and said to no buy it. The local Chevy dealer was doing the body work had it on frame machine and the new guy got to over zealous. He literally tore the floor pan in half under the car where I could not see the welds and they had to total it. The airbags today total lots of cars with very minimal damage. They tear the interior apart when the all go. I have heard of sun roofs blowing out when they deploy. If they decide to fix it, the shop has already said they would put it on a frame machine and check. I received a very short email from insurance saying the shop over estimated by 4K according to the adjuster. This is a very reliable shop and so I've asked for the adjuster paperwork to compare. BTW. Has anyone ever used https://www.oemfordpart.com The panel for the air bag should be reusable. It literally just popped the panel down. I was surprised. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. Quick answer is yes it is repairable but they base it on repair costs to cash value. Waiting for the adjuster to come out but the estimate from the shop (same one I use for the 71) is just shy of 12k. That's 73% of its total value and so it will be close. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. A lady I worked with said, "well at least it wasn't your girlfriend " meaning the 71. True... I would probably be in a psyc ward. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Well it WAS fun to drive. A punk ran a red light and this is what happened. Probably totaled. Waiting for the adjuster to come out, but it'll be close. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. Also it does not close off the snorkel end / opening. Where does the snorkel end connect? I've never had mine hooked up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I'm still enjoying it. They're really fun cars to drive. We're at that time of year when there are not many students on campus and so I'm switching between the two. I'm just now starting to think about mods. I spend most of my time and $$ on the old one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Funny we just had this discussion when we were naming Pepper. I had several names for our previous dog but I explained to the girls that she needs to lean her new name first. I actually think it has more to do with the tone of your voice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Back in February out 13 yr old Border Collie was mauled by the neighbors dogs (broke through the wood privacy fence) and we had to put her down. We had her longer than our children and it was the only pet my wife ever had. Last week the wife decided she would like a dog to run with and so we started looking around. Meet Pepper, a 5 month old Australia Cattle dog (Blue Heeler) and Border Collie mix. We picked her up on Thursday from the Humane Society and she is very smart, learning simple commands in minutes. It's funny to watch the girls interact with her because our last dog was trained by the time they came into the world. They also don't remember the energy level of a puppy, even though our last dog was still running two miles a day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Today was national take your cool car to work day. Ok so I made that up, but I definitely had the coolest car. It was an odd Texas high in the low 80s, sunny, and few students on campus (between terms). I was at our main campus which is an hour away. Good day for a drive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Ha. I'm glad it's not just me who does that. I drive my wife nuts because I can spot part of a grill in a movie and will back it up to prove I was right. Good catch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
