My Car
2011 Mustang GT
Not sure if this has been covered before, but there's been some talk in my custom tail lights thread about what some of us are driving when we're not in our 71-73's. so...what is everyone tooling back & forth to work in? Mine was a '00 Mustang GT, but I wrecked it back in Dec. My wife keeps saying no more Mustangs, but I've almost got her convinced to let me take a small loan out for an S-197 (05^) there's one at a dealer near me that I want bad but not sure it'll happen. An '06 GT premium with a little over 9k on the clock :)

Haha you guys will love this gem!!! 2001 Ford Escort 105000 miles. Bought it for $500 a couple years ago. They said the motor was bad. i got it home and all it needed was a timing belt. $35 and i was on the road. This car is tiny! i feel like a monkey f*@&%&g a football driving it but it gets around 30-32 mpg and in 2 years i havent done anything to it other than tires and oil changes. I am just over 6ft tall and around 240lbs so i dont fit that well but its cheap ride back and forth to work.

i am driving our 12 year old Odyssey with 140K miles on it. The wife gets to drive the 2011 VW Touareg... very nice mid size SUV with 7,700 lbs towing capacity.

1996 ford f350 dually rescued from the junker after sitting 3 years with 208,XXX miles

now she has 236,XXX and has been a strong runner other then the dual mass flywheel that had broke all the little springs out. A new single mass fly wheel and still running like a champ not bad for 28k in 19 months of driving and 4 months of deployment sitting

I don't have any pics readily available , but during the week ,I drive a plain jane 06 F-250 Super Duty 5.4 4x4 company truck ,delivered brand new to me ,paid for by the boss. On my time I drive my 05 F-150 supercab STX 4x4 ,4.6 triton ,only 34K because it pretty much just hauls my camper & boat on the weekends. With my tractor & including the Mach 1 ,.....4 Fords in the driveway & the wifes Impala LS. :p

2011 Ford Transit Connect.

And yes I have been abused from the first day I brought it home.

The best thing about it that it is a company truck and when your boss gives you the keys to any new vehicle & a plastic card to fill the tank, you say thank you, even if it looks like a frozen desert truck !!!

Thanks, Jay

Since September 2006 it has been a 2000 GT premium. For 16 years before that it was a 1990 LX 5.0 that I bought new.

Daily driver is a 2012 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab, 4x4, TRD Sport. Sweet truck, just wish it had a 6 speed auto rather than a 5 speed, could be better on gas.

I drive a 2009 Lincoln MKZ (Fusion clone) that is the first car since I began driving that doesn't have a clutch. Very comfortable ride, with decent mileage.

I almost bought a Ford Transit for the wife, thought it was a great urban vehicle with pep and good mileage, but she thought it looked like a Milk Delivery Van. Personally, I think Ford missed the boat on this, as they are easily modified and could compete with the Scion crowd. Now that two of you drive them daily, what do you think of them?

Gas milage is ok, combined 22-24mpg, it lacks power on hilly terrain, but it gives a decent ride, I'm 6' tall and I have plenty of room with the saftey cage behind me.

they do make a 5 pasanger model, it seamed nice, I saw it at the Dealer.

these are very popular in Europe, its made in Turkey and inported in to the USA.

2011 Ford F150 Super Crew 3.7 V6!!!

*ford has now claim this body style and PT combination will tow 6300lbs

*truely does get 23mpg going 70mph (tune of course)

couldn't be happier with a daily driving truck that gets good MPG and can tow the stang around on a trailer if needed.
