My Car
1973 Mustang Convertible (Mach I Tribute)
Now that the Magnum's are on the 73, I'm looking to sell my 73 slotted rims (5).

Unfort, just looking at UPS it could cost up to $300 to ship across the country (that's if I need to ship that far).

Anyone know of other shipping options that are cheaper?

Well I sent wheels on a greyhound bus before. Not sure if they still do that or not. It was really cheap i think like $40.

If you were local i'd love to have those.

The OP is from New Jersey. If the car is an east coast car I would pay the 4 hours labor for the spring replacement. My car came from California so I got lucky and the front bolts came right out. I have read some horror stories on getting the bolts out when the are rusted in.

I like the lower stance
+1 Lower the front a 1/2 inch or so and you are there!

When Don of OMS shipped my 351C 4V long block I used

www.freightquote.com and at an estimated 650 lbs including

pallet, chains etc. cost was $310 shipped door to door 2500 miles.

That might be an option if I need to ship.

The 5 boxes weight about 32 pounds each

Thanks

Pack 2 wheels per box - it usually saves some money

Kurt - fed x is usually cheaper because they just drop it off down the street :)

I sold my 73 slotted rims and shipped USPS. Rims were about $22. each. Tires not included.

www.freightquote.com

greyhound is pretty good though. motorcitymustang shipped me a whole bumper with reinforcement plate and arms for 62 dollars.

The thing about Freightquote is I paid for 'door to door' service and

got just that. They loaded the engine at Don's place and delivered

it to my location at the door. The driver had to pull the engine on

a pallet jack the last 100 yards because his truck would not clear the

power lines. These are twisty mountain roads. Freightquote is like

those hotel ads you see. They offer several options from different

trucking companies.

For a set of aluminum rims UPS or Fedx is the way to go
