The magnum center caps are not cheap to replace.

And unfortunately I have been the victim of theft concerning the caps!

Fortunately they were quickly recovered. That's a story for another day...

A very good friend and Ford enthusiast who has owned many cool Mustangs showed me this little trick many years ago. He made the caps on his 1970 Boss 302 more secure using cheap but functional internal retaining rings.

I did the same thing to mine years ago. Just make sure when you get new tires that you make them aware of this.
