My Car
1973 Mach 1 Q code
I just received my new from the manifolds back 2.25" exhaust system for my 73 Mach 1 351 4V w/ staggered shocks, it all looks great but the tail pipes look the same, but mirror image of each other. I had expected the left tail pipe to be somewhat different to route around the shock. Is this correct, or do I need a different tail pipe?

The tail pipes for staggered shocks are different.

When my mechanic installed a new exhaust system

purchased from Don of OMS he commented on the

difference between the two pipes. The exhaust system

on my car is the same as used on the Boss 351.

The difference in tail pipes is subtle but should not

be a mirror image.

I thought that was the case, thanks for the help.

The mirror image tailpipes is for cars without the competition rear suspension (staggered shocks) the boss 351 tailpipes look pretty different I think the right Side tail pipe is the same shape on both cars with or without staggered shocks. But the left side drivers side shape is very different because it has to deal with brake line, fuel line and the staggered shock clearance plus the axle.
