Hi all,

If I were to buy a set of Scorpion roller rockers (pedestal mount), with a stock 351c rocker ratio of 1.73, would I be able to keep my stock sized comp cams magnum push rods? Or will the geometry be different and require a different length of pushrod?

Hello Machlovin,

That was one the objectives of the Ford engineers when they designed the pedestal mount rocker mounts. It was designed to install as a positive stop install with the proper length push-rods, rocker arms, pedestal and required torque applied. Since the Scorpion roller rockers (pedestal mount) (SCP1024 ) are designed to replace the stock 351c rocker ratio of 1.73, it should be a direct bolt in project. Make sure you check your valve spring clearance. It states that it Clears 1.625” valve spring.

I have them in a test setup on one head here on the workbench for measurement and testing the geometry. They seem to be of high quality and precision.

When I can trust my measuring, you can use all your stock stuff, as long as you dont change pushrod length or have very different lifters or valves.

Possible valve lift depends more on the valve springs, retainers and shaft seals you use.
