I've seen two types of 71-73 fan shroud (there may be more)

Some are plain with the 'CAUTION FAN'

sticker and some have no sticker but have the 'CAUTION FAN' in raised embossed letters in the plastic shroud material.

Can anyone enlighten me on the reasons/ differences for this?

Thanks

the 73 mustang fan shroud should have the caution sticker on it

my 72 fan shroud was plain, might be just a change from year to year.

Thanks for the reply but it doesn't answer my question

1. Plain Shroud with or without sticker

2. Embossed shroud

Why and when?

No guesswork answers, just facts appreciated, thanks

Raised letters is the wrong shroud. Check the part number on it.

Probably has a D5 number on it.

There are 2 - maybe 3 for the 26 inch radiator

D1

D3

I think a later version D3 with embossed caution on it.

Then there is the one for the 250 and 302 with 20 inch rad

I think it is a D0 p/n
